“Unbelievable apartment!!! What a find, from the moment I found The Rockefeller on Expedia to arrival through to the end of the stay everything was the best!! Not going to gointo much detail as wouldn’t want to ruin anybody else’s experience but I will say you won’t be disappointed, everything about the apartment is funky, design led and luxurious from the furnishings to the artwork and even the kitchen and bathroom are of the highest spec. “When we entered the apartment it was so cold and took all night for the heat to warm up. It was not a pleasent first impression. The apartment was advertised to have a king sized bed and it was an extremely hard queen sized bed. The first plate and fork rhat I went to use were bith dirty. Part of the hose fell off of the shower and the shower was either burning hot or freezing cold. When I tried to contact the host about these problems I did not receive a reply. This was a very……

“Excellent stay in a great location. Host was fantastic at keeping me informed of the process answered a couple of questions I had straight away. The access to the spa was such a lovely bonus and will definitely book this again!”

“This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all……

“Lovely apartment . Loved the colourful light above window table which got bright sun in the morning, very well equipoed kitchen area and great full stretch bath to soak away alot of walking. Excellent location for Bowness amenities and the lake and about 20 mins steady walk back to train station. Buses, cafes 2 minutes away. Only slight niggle were fibre pillows bit hard and flat for me but i was that tired from being out and about it didnt stop me sleeping and i would stay again 😊”
