It's very conveniently situated in walking distance of the city centre, but far away enough to be in a peaceful area. We felt very looked after and nurtured, every little thing was thought of right down to usb charging ports by the (beautiful antique) bed. We slept really well, the en suite was clean and generously stocked with toiletries, towels and face cloths. The shower was lovely and hot. Breakfast was delicious, so much food including hand roasted almonds and it was such a treat having tea and coffee made for us by John. John is a wonderful host and good company. The room was huge, and although the bathroom wasn’t en-suite, it was right next door and robes were provided. John was a fantastic host sharing local knowledge and great stories. Breakfast was a good variety of fresh fruits, yoghurts, sourdough toast and croissants with strong coffee. There was free on street parking right outside. A short walk through the park brings you to Lark Lane which is bustling with an abundance of bars and restaurants. There are several bus stops 5-10 minutes walk away which get you quickly and cheaply to the city centre. All in all a great place to stay, much more fun than a bland chain hotel and a complete bargain too. Liverpool was full of interesting things, we have only scratched the surface.
