“We had six in our party - the main house fit us all comfortably - the place was lovely, the host extremely responsive - you don't always find that - and the location was great for access to Wilkesboro. Will back next year unless someone reads this and books it first.”

“We came up to celebrate a wedding, it got complicated and had to be changed to a day earlier due to the bride's medical emergency, the wedding occurred at the hospital and the emotions were constantly changing, everyone is healthy now and with this place it was nice to relax after such a stressful event. We saw many deer on the rides back to the property usually at dusk. Would recommend this property to anyone looking to escape reality!”

“The house and property is beautiful. Plenty of room for a large family. It was not very clean. Cobwebs in corners, windows, on lights and lamps. 1 of the bathrooms had mold in the shower. The hardwood floors were beautiful, however you could see dust under furniture and along stairs. Upstairs mattress in master was extremely hard and uncomfortable. Downstairs tub in master leaked into basement bathroom. Kitchen was not very clean, Grease on stove and back splash. Coffee maker had dried and……

“I can’t begin to say enough about this little oasis in the woods. Don’t let the woodsy surroundings concern you. This place is manicured, well lit, and has everything you’ll need when you get there to get you started. We were met with snacks and drinks just to start with. Extra everything paper, huge bottles of name brand shampoos and soaps, as well as things like pasta, and several things in the fridge like sour cream, of all things! I’m sure what is stocked there changes from guest to guest……

“The grill was open 8am -10 pm on Friday and Saturday and they made the best breakfast! Its rare to have such a good place to eat in most campgrounds. ”

“We would stay at the property again. Here are suggestions that would make our stay even better: The water filter in the fridge needs to be replaced. There need to be hand towels in the bathrooms. A microwave should be part of the kitchen appliances. The pillows in the master bedroom were too hard and made my next stiff. An extra pillow and an extra quilt would have been appreciated. There need to be more wash cloths. We had two wash clothes for five people. Availability of firewood for the fire……

“Just brilliant. Beautiful location right on the lake in a quiet inlet. Kayaks right there for us to explore the water. Such a clean, cosy, well equipped cabin. So nicely set up with a warm, homelike feeling. It felt thoughtfully done, even spare chargers there ready for us if we needed them. Such a lovely experience.”
