"It was amazing until the receptionist told me I couldn’t take my children swimming she said it was only 4 allowed in the pool I didn’t understand I have 5 children plus me I rented a one bedroom suites which sleeps 5 I only had 2 extra with one being autistic and the other a baby didn’t see why me and the others couldn’t swim so with that I give this stay bad comments with customer service my children cried I had to pay extra to take them to an aquatic center "

"This cabin was beautiful and had such a lovely view. Everything there was so nicely done from the kitchen, to the furniture, to the view on the deck. Will definitely be wanting to stay there again sometime!"

"This hotel was perfect for our first stay in Champaign. Loved how close it is to restaurants and shopping. The room was spotless and very comfortable. "

"We have stayed at this property many times. However, we have been disappointed almost every time because it has been a full house between the construction, and now the finished product. With the full capacity comes zero parking if you arrive after eight or 9 PM. On this particular trip, there were four semi’s parked in the parking lot and work trucks that were almost semi truck sized. No rhyme or reason to their parking- taking up multiple spaces. The gal at the desk mentioned we park at mattress firm because they own part of that parking lot, however, there’s no lighting over there. It was completely dark."

"This is a great option for independent-minded travelers who want something clean and spacious near the university. There is not much in the way of front desk staff but they communicated smoothly about check in and check out. There is an excellent bakery downstairs on the premises. The kitchen is stocked with basic pots, pans, utensils, etc. Tons of space. There is a bit of street noise as the property is at a busy intersection, so bring your earplugs just in case. Overall, good value."

"All staff I interacted with were polite and friendly, including front desk, breakfast worker, and housekeeping. I want to give a special shout-out to the very kind young woman staff member whose job title I'm unsure of. She was wearing a black shirt with black pants (I think), and she had an orange scarf around her head and was African American. When I got to my room after check-in, the key wouldn't work. She went upstairs to help three times for me and got a new key made--but there was some misunderstanding on my part, and I wish I had thanked her properly and given her a tip-- I'm a senior citizen and was too tired to think at that point. She was just 5 minutes from ending her shift as well. It was about 9pm on August 4th. If there is a way for me to send her a tip, please contact me on my email. It was quieter because we came in July, and that might make a difference at other times, but this place was really convenient and our room was a good size. I didn’t think much of the pool but I had no time to use it anyway. Right next to campus. "

"We were in town for a baseball tournament. Had two families (5 people, 3 people). The basement was perfect for one family and the upstairs was perfect for the larger family. The property was clean. Good communication with the owner. Everything we needed was there including garbage bags, toilet paper, laundry soap, dish soap etc. We had a great stay. The beds were super comfortable too!"

"We had a very pleasant evening and morning at the Candlewood. Exactly what we needed: microwave to heat up dinner and coffee in the morning in the room. Countertops were nice in bathroom and kitchenette, big refrigerator and dishwasher. Better than average some cotton sheets! Staff very friendly and heloful. "
