Oceanfront Sandy Beach Vacation Rental Unit 1

We have two oversized second story apartments directly on a private Sandy Beach. Both apartments have had complete renovations completed December, 2017, with new kitchens, new bathrooms, floors, etc. Each unit sleeps a maximum of 4 people. Rent with rental number 9131033 (separate reservation and fees) to sleep up to 8 people. Walk from your front door onto a large sand bar in the Atlantic Ocean. Watch the sunrise and sunset from this uniquely located private triplex. Tie up your boat directly behind the property on the sandbar or dockage and boat launch available across the street on the Bay side. Amazing sea life right at the beach, stingrays, puffer fish crabs, shark. Fish right from the shore. When tide is out you can walk hundreds of feet into the ocean on the sand bar. We also have two kayaks for you use

These units each accommodates 4 people with 1 King bed, A queen sized sofa bed and a rollaway bed available. Rent with mirror image unit next door to accommodate 8.

We are in a very unique natural habitat. There are times, depending on the tides, when thick seaweed, rocks, and other items wash up on our shoreline. We recommend always wearing water shoes.

We loved being on the water. The creatures that live in the water in the Keys were remarkable to see. The area around the property was quiet and well kept. The inside of our bungalow was very comfortable and well stocked. We loved it and will most likely be back next year.

This place is beautiful. It’s not really for swimming due to all the sea grass but it was perfect otherwise. The property manager was very fast at responding to questions. It’s centrally located which was fantastic! The house itself could have used a good cleaning due to cobwebs and ants but otherwise it was the perfect size for the two of us! We loved it!

Relaxing Vaca
We had a great time relaxing at this beautiful Beach House. The water out front is not a place to depend on swimming in BUT awesome for sea life, sunrises and bird watchers. We visited all the beaches close by, Founders Park in Islamorada being our favorite, Sombrero in marsthon coming in second. Bahai Honda rated most beautiful!!!! The condo itself was clean, cool and had everything we needed and more!!

Amazing view, peaceful location, perfect for couples!
This property is great for a couples get-away. Bed is comfortable, kitchen well stocked. View from the deck is amazing, nice beach to relax on, although, there's a bit of seaweed that collects at the edge of the water but easy enough to step through. This is a great central location in the Keys, about an hour and half from The Everglades or Key West. Communication with Andrew is excellent, easy to contact and he responds quickly to questions. March is a great time to stay, we had no mosquitos.

Excellent Everglades
Loved the location. Key West was just a bit much for us, expensive and crowded. Loved coming back to our home base. A water main broke 3 times the week we were there affecting ALL of the keys from Key Largo to Key West. Only the later one affected us as the two reserves were deplenished during the first two breaks. We were ordered to conserve water to rebuild reserves. Wasn't to bad only about 16 hours. We hauled water from the ocean and were very restricted with our use. It was a great location for seeing everything from the Everglades to turtle hospital to Key West. So much to do but a car is essential. Excellent weather, highly recommend!

Excellent Hosts
We had an amazing stay, despite Hurricane Ian. Hosts checked on us before and after the storm and were quick to act and get the beach and carport cleaned and back to pristine condition. The location was great and sunsets and sunrises were magical from the beach. We enjoyed paddleboarding right from the shore.

Loved this beach house & Grassy Key!
We had a blast enjoying the ocean and all its wonders. Kids loved using the kayaks and snorkeling. We seen many fish, crabs, iguanas, lizards, a conch & a small shark. Many things to see by the old cement ruins off shore. We did have did have lots of grass & trash come in (mid August). It was a bit smelly some days, but you get used to it. Grassy Key as a whole area has this issue. Water shoes were very helpful and cleared a wide path to the water and that really cut out the "yuck" & smell factor by having it dry out a bit. There was some algae bloom closer to shore also, just made it hard to see through the water near shore and cleared out as the water got deeper. Overall we loved it, we reacted both sides and they were very clean and comfortable for our family. Favorite local places were the Grassy Key Marina for fishing needs & few grocery items . Also really enjoyed the Turtle hospital tour. -MN family of 8

The house was very clean and had everything you needed , the only thing i didn’t like was the water had lots of sea weed that smelled really really bad couldn’t swim in the water unless you walked around 2000 yards, but the little beach was nice.

Shallow Trashy Beach
I was not going to write a review on this, but I must. The apartment is nice, and clean and the lady that takes care of the place is nice. Here is the problem. A) the water is shallow and muddy for a long ways out. When the grass blows in, the smell is horrible. B) The neighbor is rude and has trash all over the beach. We picked plastic bottle up on the beach for 2 days. We decided to leave early and stay somewhere else.

Picture perfect paradise
Our experience was beyond amazing. The house was beautiful with breathtaking views. It came equipped with everything you need to enjoy your vacation. Enjoyed days of kayaking, laying in hammocks, and lounging under the palm trees. Rhonda the property manager was delightful and so helpful when we arrived. Check in was a breeze and could not asked for a better stay. We saw all kinds of wildlife on land and in the ocean. Absolute paradise!

Clean property - central location
Property was clean and location close to Marathon, but within an hour to almost everything. Our unit really needed new frying pans badly, and things like trash bags should be provided. Our favorite place for drinks was Bongos just up the road. Being on the water was great! I was in FL to fish, and was able to Wade and cast around right out front. Caught barracuda and tarpon, saw a nurse shark and other smaller fish as well. Was very windy during our stay, so the sea grass built up pretty bad, the odor takes some getting used to, but the same issue was clearly happening everywhere we visited- just part of being on the ocean. Overall, our stay was great.
