The room was clean with air conditioning. It is close to the beach and the hotel has designated chairs on the beach. Also there is a pool/patio area with a view of the beach. Easy access to excellent restaurants including the Scappata restaurant downstairs. Delicious food and excellent service. If you like being close to the action and beach, stay here. If you want no noise and no people around, maybe it is not for you. We enjoyed the Malecon and excitement of the area with strolls at night. Perfect location.
Nice place! People are very friendly and a safe place to stay. The only one thing is the stairs, there isn’t an elevator and there aren’t room on the first level.
Amazing people. Very helpful, polite, and patient. Great place to stay. If we are there again, we will stay at this hotel. Towards the edge of the boardwalk craziness.
After walking around for a while, we realized this was the nicest hotel in Progreso. The location was perfect, it had service on the beach and the rooms were very nice. Both of the men at the beach named Luis were amazing and Sergionat the restaurant did an incredible job.
We stayed at the Scappata just one night. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The room was great with a very comfy king size bed. Centrally located on the boardwalk in Progreso. We ate at the Scappata restaurant…amazing food and service. It’s a must see!
I stayed here for 2 nights with my husband, sister and her boyfriend. We arrived a little early. The guy who checked us in was super nice, friendly, and gave us all the info we needed.
Our rooms weren't ready when we arrived, so we changed and went to the beach which was right across from the hotel. Hotel guests have access to free beach beds. They had servers on the beach to take our orders for food and drinks. The beach was beautiful. We also went to the rooftop pool during our stay which was very enjoyable. We watched a beautiful sunset from there.
The location is wonderful. We walked down the beach walkway. There were many restaurants, bars, shops, and spa/ massage. We had breakfast at the hotel one morning which was good.
Our room was fine. We had a king bed. It wasn't very spacious but we did not spend a lot of time in there. We had what we needed and we were comfortable.
Overall, we had a great stay and I would stay here again if/ when I am back in the area. Muchas gracias!!
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We enjoyed the convenience of being right by the beach and the access to the beach club chairs and shaded areas. We especially loved all the staff we encountered on the premises; from the lobby staff to the servers at the restaurant and beach club. Everyone was kind and helpful. We can’t wait to be back.
Very nice accommodation right on the Malecon with a nice pool as well! Friendly staff who work hard to make you comfortable. Nice, clean large room with a great shower. I prefer a firm mattress but this was still quite comfortable. Such a nice visit!
Beach front, pool, good AC. Only lacking a fridge in the room. Restaurant was good. No elevator for accessibility.

It was a great location to the beach. The water pressure in the shower was minimal and at one point the water stopped in the middle of my shower. Hot water was also limited. There were dirty dishes left outside of the rooms for a whole day. It was a great view of the beach, but I would not stay there again.
The hotel was okay. Room was tiny and it felt like the AC never got cool. We never got our room cleaned and didn’t realize you had to put the sign on it to get it cleaned. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Loved how it was super close to the beach basically on the beach. They also had a restaurant and it was good too!! Oh and the shower would get scalding hot even when turned on in the middle or close to cold. Other than it was an okay hotel.
Wonderful location, fine reasonably-priced restaurant, very helpful front desk. Roof pool and plenty of good outdoor deck chairs for sunning and looking at sea.
Room very spartan, one cheap uncomfortable desk chair, no others except two good ones on balcony. No pictures on walls. No frills. Bathroom nicely appointed, bright, beautiful. Shower pretty chilly.
Beautiful restful hotel across from Progreso Beach
Very enjoyable stay, room was very clean. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. We had a very convenient room on the first floor. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Some spoke English, so this helps a lot. The only minor problem was slow speed internet for the TV. This was our second year to stay at this location. Nice rooftop pool, and lovely view of the beach across the street. Close to lots of restaurants, as well as the one on site.
They held our luggage at the desk, and let us use their beach towels, so we could still enjoy the beach until our ride came later in the afternoon. They are very helpful.
They had their own sunbeds/umbrella at the beach with no extra cost. Nice poolarea, asked to turn off the music blasting throug the speakers, they did no problem.
Very expensive resturant, but good food. All the reasturants along the beach have the same prices. Head into town for more reasonable prices.
10 min walk from bus station.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
While it is beautiful, certain things weren’t properly planned. We got the sea view room, The varandah over looks a portion of the sea. The TV is right beside the door when entering, so you bump your head when you come in, the toilet is set in a way that you can’t comfortably use it. If u get a room that goes up, be careful with the stairs…
The plus side about it is that the property is by the beach, has its own private sitting area, close to the main area in progresso, the bed is nice to sleep in and safe.
The hotel has a restaurant. The food is average, some things are great and some are okay.

Way expensive for the overall facilities of the hotel, room was ok, bed was excellent. Beach Club opens way to late (11AM) and closes early (5PM), the best times for this beach is either closed or you have to leave the chairs because they need to close. At night it is dificult to sleep due to the live music until midgnight (at least saturday night) and the street noise. Property should consider upgrading doors and windows to stop outside noise.
Restaurant is good.
