It is close to the beach and the hotel has designated chairs on the beach. Also there is a pool/patio area with a view of the beach. Easy access to excellent restaurants including the Scappata restaurant downstairs. Delicious food and excellent service. If you like being close to the action and beach, stay here. If you want no noise and no people around, maybe it is not for you. We enjoyed the Malecon and excitement of the area with strolls at night. I had ditched my bag with them to go check out El Corchito, a local eco-reserve, and upon my return had left my phone in the cab. The hotel manager took me in his personal vehicle around town to the taxi station and supported me in finding the right driver. Mind you, this was all before I'd even checked in! I was immensely grateful and he was incredibly gracious. Perfect person to work in hospitality. We arrived a little early. The guy who checked us in was super nice, friendly, and gave us all the info we needed. Our rooms weren't ready when we arrived, so we changed and went to the beach which was right across from the hotel. Hotel guests have access to free beach beds. They had servers on the beach to take our orders for food and drinks. The beach was beautiful. We also went to the rooftop pool during our stay which was very enjoyable. We watched a beautiful sunset from there. The location is wonderful. We walked down the beach walkway. There were many restaurants, bars, shops, and spa/ massage. We had breakfast at the hotel one morning which was good. Our room was fine. We had a king bed. It wasn't very spacious but we did not spend a lot of time in there. We had what we needed and we were comfortable. Overall, we had a great stay and I would stay here again if/ when I am back in the area. Due to health issue, we were unable to stay the full time and the gentleman at the front desk went above and beyond in helping us cancel the reservation.
