The home is very nicely decorated and well-appointed and is, overall, quite comfortable. Flexible and effective climate control and plenty of on-demand hot water--very cozy for crisp autumn nights! Access was simple, instructions were clear, and the host was both proactive in his communication with us and promptly responsive to our inquiries. A few minor drawbacks for us: the mattress in the main bedroom is a little lumpy; the windows do not seal well and, therefore, a bit of noise from the busy street and outdoor seating area at the pub next door filters through; and, as is to be expected in a house of this age, the ceilings/doorways are very low and caused my 6'4" spouse a few headaches (literally)! The location is excellent if you are visiting the Cotswolds without a car--train station is a 5-minute walk, bus stop is right in front of the cottage, and the town is situated on the Monarch's Way footpath. In addition, there is an excellent grocery store, a wine shop, a cheese shop, a convenient laundry, and several good coffee/tea shops just a few minutes' walk away from the cottage.
