It looks like it has only just been renovated and decorated. Tea, coffee, a little milk and some biscuits on arrival were a lovely touch. Note to other guests: The access track is not tarmaced with a few potholes (we would have been nervous bringing the Lotus along there) but it's ok in a normal car driven with respect. This does of course mean the location is really quiet. Husband was woken up by a woodpecker one morning and a pheasant another. No chance of any traffic noise. Cottage was warm despite plummeting temperatures during our stay. Power shower is amazing. About the only thing not provided is shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Bed is comfy. High quality duvet, linen and towels. This is a fantastic little hide away!! All the mod-cons, beautiful, secluded and quite surroundings. The property is to the very highest of standards and for the nightly rate it is a true bargain not to missed. As a very frequent traveller the Rivers Rest is in my top 5!!
