Lovely old pub, with lots of history. Helpful welcoming staff on arrival and at breakfast. The parking was signposted but a little trickier to find than I expected, but plentiful when you get to it. Breakfast good quality. The room would benefit from a bit of redecoration as others have said but it didn't detract from a pleasant stay in an inn I would recommend to others. I stayed here for a conference in Nottingham and it was practical for that reason and easy to access from the motorway. If I was coming to the area again I almost certainly would stay here again.

The breakfast was really good as was the lady that served us. The room was nice and big although in need of decorating with ripped off wallpaper and holes in the bathroom, plus the TV didn't work, which I presume the guy behind the bar knew as he didn't seem interested when we told him. All in all a good stay, worth what we paid.

Lovely pub with rooms just off the pub. Room and bathroom were spacious and bed was lovely a large and clean. Windows could do with a lick of paint but just a minor point. Staff were excellent and really helpful.

Breakfast was freshly cooked and generous. Full english, or any combination of those ingredients. Cereals are on offer but we didn't have those. Room 6, spacious and comfortable, some repairs needed in the ensuite, water lovely and hot.
