“Great rooms, staff and breakfast. Cookies and milk in the evening add a special touch. We’ve stayed at this motel at least 4 times.”

“The 1857 is a great hotel situated conveniently in the heart of Downtown Paducah. It’s within easy walking distance to Freight House, the Quilt Museum, and anything else you should experience in this wonderful town. The modern hotel is clean, well maintained, quiet, and very comfortable. The staff is fantastic as well. Highly recommended!”

“The bathroom needed care. The bathtub had mold around the edge, and the water spout was attached to a pipe that stood out of the wall about an inch. It seemed odd to see bare pipe sticking out of the wall.”

“I really, really liked the staff. He was so nice and personable. The property is older and could use some sprucing up but it was still clean and the bed was very comfortable. I also loved that it was quiet. I would definitely stay again.”

“Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the continental breakfast hit the spot.”
