“Such a unique property. We stayed in the room that Queen Victoria stayed in, and slept in the original bed, they also have the original 7 foot bathtub - best bath ever. The staff were so attentive.”

“Ideal central location in the middle of Bala High Street. Not enough parking on site. Small car park (at the rear) already full of people drinking at the pub, so had to park on street instead. Not enough staff available so had to wait a little to check in. Room was decent. Plenty of space with a nice modern bathroom suite and shower. Relatively quiet on the third floor, but quite a journey up three levels on an old staircase. Coffee/tea maker limited to a kettle and a handful of packs of……

“Location is great. Hote Is basic as reflected in price as well as reviews. Restaurant at hotel was terribly understaffed - only one chef. Took an hour and 20 mins for food to arrive. Secondly, there was no daily cleaning or towel change and was not mentioned clearly.”

“Avoid! I stayed in a single room on the second floor of this pub. The room was very tired/shabby and in desperate need of a deep clean. Old carpet fraying around the edges, dirty splashes up the wall, etc. Sloping, creaking floor. The mattress was old and uncomfortable - springs dig into you all night. I’m always wary of non-white towels and bed linen as cleanliness is never as good - it’s dark grey towels here and grey bed linen. Thin pillows and duvet. And the TV didn’t work. I now see……

“Extremely spacious and well equipped with one exception, given the unusually warm weather—no AC, some fans, and no screens on windows that do open. The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs. Kitchen is on lowest floor. Entry and dining and parlor are on street level, and there is no bathroom on that floor. So it’s a trek from kitchen to loo. The top floor……

“I'm afraid that we're extremely disappointed with the state if this property. It smells of damp and water ingress everywhere, with stains and skirting hanging off, there's an overpowering smell and generally uncleandownstairs bedroom. I'm not sure how you can charge for this. ”

“Just a short overnight stay in see concert. Just slept there. Warm inside hut. Bed perfect for one. Hot shower in morning. Woke up by peacocks squawking...fabulous”

“Lovely rural farmhouse in charming location. Perfect for families. Quiet and peaceful. Near to North Wales tourist destinations like Llangollen, Bala and Snowdonia. Would definitely return again.”
