Rustic Cabin in the Woods
Great place to get away after spending the day on the lake. Inside was spotless and comfortable. Outside was rustic. Has a cornhole set which the family enjoyed.

wonderful place!
It was a bit rainy during our stay but we definately were able to get out and explore the property + enjoyed the fire in the evening. Great place! It was well secluded as I had hoped. Numerous projects ongoing around the property but no major noise issues or anything, but be prepared for that, it didn't detract from our time there.

Great family weekend
We stayed here for my sons birthday with family and spent Saturday out on Smith Mountain Lake. We pushed it in terms of capacity with 11 family members, but it was really perfect for a shorter stay. Would be good in the fall for a campfire and was relatively remote. We had a good weekend!

Secluded Cabin
We loved the cabin and the location. The cabin was well stocked and clean, although the outside was a little dirty. Obviously it will be dirty outside but the table really could have used a power washing. However, this didn’t affect our stay. The owners contacted us a couple days before our trip and let us know everything we needed to know ahead of time. We enjoyed the dock although the walk back up the hill is quite the workout! Overall it was a great trip!

Perfect and quiet getaway!
This cabin was perfect for our family's weekend getaway! We just wanted a cozy cabin to relax in, spend time with each other, and play fun board games. And this cabin delivered!! Super clean and spacious and the kitchen was fully stocked it kitchen gadgets and cookware. The outside was so pretty and we want in the middle of winter so I can't even imagine how pretty it is in the summer! The beds were so comfy and the shower was crazy cool! We'll definitely be back!

Perfect getaway location not too long of a drive from home 2 1/2 hours. My dogs absolutely loved exploring the property. Only drawback was no washer or dryer. But we only stayed for 4 nights so not a big deal.

Awesome cabin and setting
I visited with my dog for my 40th. It was a really beautiful setting and the cabin felt private and was super clean. We visited Peaks of Otter, Smith Mountain Lake, and Roanoke during our stay… also loved seeing all the nearby farm animals. Would definitely recommend this cabin🙂

Cute Retreat
This is our second visit to this property. Cute cabin in a secluded area, but within walking distance to the lake. We spent time out by the fire pit and on the front porch. Will return I'm certain!!

Spacious log cabin that was nicely decorated with gas fireplace, comfortable beds & well stocked home. Picnic table, gas/charcoal grills fire pit & chairs on porch allow you to enjoy outdoors. Great assess to trails to the stream, playground & lake. There is no washer/dryer and there was no hand/bath soap in bathrooms & had to be bought. That, like the towels , needs to mentioned. Lastly would recommend that owners wash linen in fragrance-free detergent & that dusting of the blinds & baseboard in bathroom to remove cobwebs be included in the cleaning . The oven floor needed to be cleaned prior to use. The contact person was extremely responsive & called me prior to stay & answered my text when I needed directions on operating fireplace & heat. Would recommend to other families & couples alike

Comfortable cabin in the woods
We had a great stay at the Shady Cove cabin during a snowy, winter weekend in January. Waze took us to the driveway without any problem and getting to the Food Lion and gas station was easy. The cabin was very clean with comfortable beds, great wifi, a huge smart tv, cozy gas fireplace, and the nicest shower I’ve ever seen in a rental house. We didn’t get to explore around the cabin much (it was in the 20’s and snowing) but it looks like you can walk down the hill to the lake. We had a great weekend and are happy we got to stay here.
