“Lovely location near Hopkins Bay”

“If you are looking for a good size house right on the beach this is it. The house and the beach in front of it were extremely clean. There were four adult men in our group and each of us had a good size bed to sleep in. Also, with three bathrooms and a kitchen we were set up beautifully. I totally would stay here again.”

“I stayed at this property by myself in May of 2024 and thoroughly enjoyed my time in Hopkins. The area is great for a solo traveller and I felt safe and welcome during my stay. My week started with a two hour power blackout which is apparently quite common in Belize, but Mirko quickly dropped off a battery powered lantern which was very helpful. “Way better than expected! Our family of 11 stayed a week, immersed in the culture of Hopkins, the people, the food, the beach, the breeze! The cabanas were clean and comfortable with everything we needed, The property manager attentive to our needs and request. Just happened to be there for the Mango Festival, oh what fun! The week was everything we hoped for and MORE!”

“It was easy to reserve this house in Hopkins in mid-July and we drove straight to it thanks to thorough directions from the house manager because there is no house number. The house manager lives nearby and she communicated regularly and was very accessible. Although the roof has a great view of the town of Hopkins, there is no roof awning or umbrella to protect one from the sun so it is a sun bathing experience!”

“This home and property are beautiful. However, the house requires some minor repairs (some sliders damaged, screen on the main slider torn, TV remote didn’t work). We were disappointed that there was no beach to walk and the water was murky and had lots of sea grass so not suitable for snorkeling. 4 adults had to space their showers or run out of water. The village of Hopkins has some good beach bars, but the best restaurants are in the resorts. The Hamanasi Resort is close and is excellent. The……

“Blue Moon Cabana is as described in its online advertising. Very well kept with no mechanical issues. Also well provisioned with kitchen equipment and other necessities. It is not resort-like. You are in the center of the town, You will have lots of contact with the local residents. We found them to be very friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay there again if I were to return to Hopkins.”

“We loved the eco friendly concept, and the resort and staff were wonderful. The food at the Rhum Shack was exceptionally good, and our compliments to the chefs. Our room was upgraded due to a birthday, which was appreciated. The beach was fantastic as were the pools. Andrew was the Concierge, and our tour guide on a full day tour to the ruins and cave diving. He was excellent, knowledgeable, and very professional! We enjoyed the tours so much thanks to him.”

“The hotel and location is ideal, clean and friendly staff and owner. Unfortunately at night some gospel channel was on all night and kept from sleeping sound. Hotel might need some cosmetics on balcony.”
