“At check-in, there were no 1st floor rooms available, desk clerk stated full house. My bad for not requesting 1st floor at time of booking. Room on 2nd floor was okay but didn't see a smoke alarm. Carpet old (be sure to wear slippers) but beds were good. It was quiet so thankful for that. For the price we paid we did expect more on the 'continental' breakfast, Only few cheap breakfast bars were available. “Very nice stop in the northern woods. The check in wasn't smooth. We never received the access code so we had to call a number to receive the code. It was easy after we called but would have been nice to just receive it like the email stated. There was a cigarette butt in the planter by the door which was not attractive to nonsmokers arriving. There was also a leftover towel under the bed. Otherwise, the room was very clean, the room was remodeled nicely, and it was a quiet place to stop...

“The motor lodge was quiet and very clean. You can tell the owners care about the property. Added bonus were the massage chairs! Also, it was very cold when we stayed and our car would not start up in the morning. We called the property manager to see if anyone was on site that could give us a jump. There was not but they made a call for us and someone was out to help within minutes. They also made sure we had access to the lobby so we would not freeze while we waited. They went above and beyond...
