The guest ahead of us at check in had the penthouse reserved for Friday and Saturday. They didn’t show on Friday so their stay was cancelled by hotel staff with the penthouse being given to another guest.
One staff member at reception desk to accommodate all guests. Where was staff???
The lobby was full with guests waiting to check in. Staff member at the desk was extremely pleasant and helpful. Never overwhelmed.
After finally checking in, we proceeded to our room. Upon entering the room, it gave an instant “newly abandoned” vibe. The air was musty. The room had an odor of old cigarette smoke and wet dust.
The decor screams early 2000’s.
The lone desk attendant was willing to accommodate us with another room but we kindly declined.
Worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel.
