But if you hope to romp and play with dogs on the property forget it. Rusty jagged barbed wire, debris, piles of scrap metal scattered everywhere. Our leashed dogs felt like they were on lockdown Yes there is a beautiful brook running through the property, but first you have to walk past the scum covered stagnant pond that's right off of the back porch. And oh my God, the flies. Dead flies on every window sill, fly tape hanging in the kitchen right where you prepare food. I had to clean dead flies out of the tub along with the soap scum. Was tempted to clean the lime deposits off of everything including the shower curtain that was supposed to be transparent, but I was on vacation. 1/3 of electricity didn't work, front porch railings dangerous, the screen door bent so couldn't close all the way, which lead to more flies, and while there is AC in the upstairs bedroom, if you're hoping for a complete AC experience then you'd be out of luck. It wasn't bad for our stay, but I would hate to be there when it was super hot. Holes in the bathroom wall where the towel rack should be, old mismatched bleach stained bathroom towels and a hodgepodge of kitchen utensils, which was fine, but you expect more for the price. Master bedroom set up for maximum toe stubbing, which could be fixed easily. Loose carpet on stairs. No DVD remote. But you can see a million stars..."
