“My family of five stayed here for six days and loved the property and its surroundings. Each morning and evening, we could hear cow bells from the surrounding farms, and the view from the back porch over the hills was stunning. Habkern is a more rural option than others many tourists go to but it was a great base for us to use because we went to many different areas around the Jungfrau region. Although a bus comes to the town and right by the home, we had a car and feel like that was really……

“This location was just perfect - the view alone would have sold us, but the house also was very clean, and was located right across from the bus stop. Xiufen was extremely responsive and set us up on advance with the Panorama pass which makes most bus trips free, and gives discounts on some attractions. Suggest to take train to Thun and bus to the location. Close to a walking suspension bridge and nice trail, also close to an extensive cave system worth visiting. ”

“Overall the house was great. It was clean and the view was gorgeous. The reason we did not give 5 stars is because we were told to only take 5 min showers to ensure we had enough hot water. The kitchen was really too small for us to cook in as only one person can be on at a time. In addition, we were in a very large car and did not understand from any of the information given what the drives on the road to and from the house would be like.”

“Had a wonderful stay at the chalet. Pascal was a warm and friendly host with excellent english which helped with our family being from the UK. A family of 4, therefore our children were able to have a bedroom each, which was awesome to give them some space on their own after a busy day. The property had everything you required, plenty of toilets, excellent shower facilities, well laid out kitchen/living area and even a sauna. Whole property was clean and always a good temperature. “My wife celebrated her 80th birthday while here. This trip was her lifelong dream. Our three sons made all the travel arrangements and other than the trip over and back we couldn’t have done more to make this dream a reality. The accommodations were great and the location stunning. The wx was great, we only had a few hit & miss showers over two days. Not much we could complain about. We would not try to discourage anyone from staying here. Thanks to the owners & VRBO.”
