Well maintained and modern furnished house in the countryside, near the center of Rome

Set in a green oasis in the center of Rome and in the immediate vicinity of the ancient Roman road "Salaria", which leads you in 15 minutes to the heart of the city (Villa Borghese), is an elegant and spacious country villa Simone.

Enjoy this spacious, newly renovated and tastefully furnished villa with 130 sqm living area, 80 m² covered veranda and 30 m² terrace.

The house is completely fenced and access is by an electrically controlled gate (remote control).

The villa has all the comforts. Air conditioning throughout the house and in every room and wireless high-speed Internet connection.

The 3 bedrooms are bright and spacious, two of them with adjoining balcony. The first includes a large double bed for 2 people, the second two single beds next to each other and the third a single bed in 2 single beds (trundle) can be converted. The 2 bathrooms each have a window and are fully equipped, each with a full bath with shower, toilet, bidet and washbasin.

Modern, spacious and open plan kitchen, fully equipped with a large gas stove, 2 sinks, large fridge, oven, and all major electrical appliances such as dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, milk frother, toaster, kettle etc. In addition, there is a laundry room with Washer available.

The enchanting garden, on an area of ​​2000 m² of space for relaxing, reading and eating outdoors under the shade of Mediterranean plants and trees of all kinds. The corresponding tufa caves invite you to play, relax or artistic activity. Villa Simone has inside of the property over several internal parking, and 2 covered garages.

SHOPPING
Near the house are also the supermarket "Castoro" with organic section, a pharmacy, bank, several restaurants to find. In addition, the largest shopping center of Rome called "Porta di Roma" is with 220 shops, cinemas, international restaurants etc. just 2 km away.

From the shopping center Castoro, a few steps from the house, we know that it is open in addition to the usual times, Sunday morning. We are happy to get you on request in advance your breakfast ingredients, which then already waiting in the house for you. We gladly accept your wishes

GETTING THERE
You can reach Villa Simone in different ways.
Train: the house is only 200 meters from the Fidene station, direct train line Fiumicino Airport and Tiburtina train station with Metro connection.
Car: 1 km away is the ring road (highway GRA), which provides easy access to the city and its surroundings. The connection to the A1 Milan - Florence - Naples is around 1.5 km.

TRIPS
The center of Rome can be reached in 20 minutes by car (car park of Villa Borghese) or in 10 minutes by train (station Tiburtina).
From Tiburtina railway station you can use the subway available to comfortably move within the city of Rome. In addition, the cities of Florence can be reached in 1:20 'and Napoli in 1:30' from Tiburtina station.

The surrounding area of ​​Rome is well worth seeing: Visit the place Castel Gandolfo (Pope's summer residence) and be pleasantly surprised by the enchanting backdrop of Lake Albano in the Castelli Romani enchanted (35 km). Also the town of Frascati (34 km) and Tivoli (37 km) with the Villa Adriana and Villa d'Este are well worth seeing. Recommended are trips to Ostia Antica (45 km), the ancient Roman port city, followed by swimming fun on the 20 km long sandy beaches in Lido di Ostia. The beaches of Rome are 3/4 hours drive away.

The city center is indeed very compact, and the entire attractions are wonderful to combine walking with each other. Only the Vatican is a bit outside, which is to be reached by metro, however, and can be combined very well with the Castel Sant'Angelo.

Basically, the sightseeing bus (leaving from Termini station for € 18 / person) is very useful to get an overall glimpse of the city. He stops at every important characteristics and then goes up even to the Vatican to get out, which is very pleasant.

Our month long stay-
Kitchen has everything you would need if you like to cook...and we do! House is spacious-House is secure with fence -gate-lights and fence and hill surrounding it. There are huge metal shutters on each door and window that must be locked and shut whenever u depart. Takes some getting used to. The house has marble floor throughout. The floor is freezing and I highly recommend a large nice area rug at least in main living room so u don't have freezing cold feet. We stayed a month- The yard is nice but the planters on patio shown on VRBO are filled with weeds...I'd recommend having a gardener tend to it and look more attractive year round. It would not take much effort. The house is supplied with plenty of towels. Both bathrooms are very nice. There are many books and they have a washer and dryer in basement. We are from America-we only speak English. It would have been nice to have instructions on things in English also instead of Italian. We have traveled to Italy many times n Rome several...in the last 14 years. I have to say Rome has gone downhill. Horrible Graffiti on every single thing and trash littered everywhere throughout the country side of Rome even where we were staying. It's disgusting! We would never return to Rome if you paid us...We choose this house because it was close to the train station-We were mugged 3x in one week on train system. My husband lost everything! Police could care a less! They just shrug their shoulders-

We enjoyed our 2 week holiday on outskirts of Rome. It was a nice spacious and comfortable bungalow that is very close to a train station and bus stops connecting to Rome and surrounding areas as well as the Marco Simone Golf Course. Pascale met us and also helped us get an early departure at the station. We thoroughly recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Simone, the house location for visiting Rome was exceptional with easy links via the train station some 200 metres away. Local restaurants were good which saved us having to drive out to other locations. We took advantage of the easy train link into Rome many times visiting the sights in our leisure and popping in for dinner on a couple of occasions. Road access to surrounding towns villages and the coast were good and we would recommend taking time out to visit the medieval town of Orvieto, along with the towns of Castel Gandolfo, Frascati and Tivoli. A great time had by all.

Amazing!
Me my partner and 2 of our friends stayed here for 10 days. It was a lovely, spacious villa. On arrival pascal met us at the train station and showed us where to go. There was goodies and a bottle of wine ready for us when we got to the villa. The train station is a 2 minute walk away and was very easy to find our way to the centre. We would highly recommend this villa.

Excellent place to stay for Rome and Lazio
A quick hop into Rome on the train made all of Rome very accessible as was the location of the roads making visits to Tivoli, north of Rome and Pompeii very easy. Accommodation was clean and spacious and very secure. BBQ s in the garden lovely in the evening, just had to share with mosquitos!

Beautiful villa in an ideal location
We were met by Pascale who was lovely and showed us how everything worked . We were also left some goodies to eat and drink which was a lovely gesture . The villa was well equipped with everything you could need . The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning throughout was a godsend . The garden was lovely and in the evening with all the lights on , it was so pleasurable to sit out in and while away a few hours . The train station was 5 minutes walk away and you could get to Rome within 15 mins , then get the metro to wherever you wanted . We also went to 2 lovely restaurants that were within easy walking distance of the villa . We also felt very secure there with the electronic gates that meant the villa was really private and enclosed . We were so pleased with our choice of this villa and would definitely stay here again .

Wonderful home away from center
The home is perfect , very clean , well equipped , you will find everything you need, very cozy , really adorable. The host is perfect and Pascale also is very nice person 😘 It's a perfect place if you want to escape the city center crowds. The place is more than great if you rented a car , there is a garage at the villa. The home is 5 mins away from the train station from which you can go to the center within 30 mins and 2 changes but take care sometimes specially after 5 pm the train is cancelled so you may use the bus which is very close also to the train station but it takes long time to take you to the downtown , so it isn't the best option. Last train leaves at 10:15 pm (if it arrived) from fidene and 11 pm to fidene (the area where the villa located). The place is not convenient if you love the night life unless you will use the bus or a taxi. The way to the train station is very steep so it isn't comfy if you love shopping and you come back home carrying bags. Take care not to leave the windows opened , many mosquitos there. Always Use a mosquito repellent . A near huge super market is very near so you may buy what you want and enjoy cooking at the adorable villa. We really enjoyed our stay at villa Simone, it's also suitable if you have a big family as there are 3 lovely bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The place may look prettier than the photos 😍. We enjoyed also the piano , the gramophone and the books. Thanks Simone for hosting us.

A beautiful, restful villa, that has everything--and three minutes walk to train station!
I felt like a celebrity having my own private villa with marble floors, several bedrooms and bathrooms, and AC!, all behind a secure fence and gate. My family could relax in peace, and dream of living like Italian aristocracy in our comfortable and spacious get-away. Yet, after a 3 minute walk we could reach Fidene suburban train station which has trains every 15 minutes to Rome Tiburtina station. The train journey is only 15 minutes long, and then you can transfer to the subway and go anywhere in Rome--wonderful! Our reception was perfect, all appliances and furnishings were great, and my whole family is already dreaming of the time we can go back---thank you so much!!!

Had a nice welcome and shown round the property.There were some nice food goodies left for us which were very welcome. Very clean.It had easy access to the train/metro and bus route into the centre of Rome. Found a good Italian restaurant recommended by the owners near by. Would stay again but would hire a car so we could explore further afield away from Rome centre

Spacious, comfortable villa within easy reach of central Rome
Definitely lived up to expectations. Plenty of space, comfortable beds and beautifully furnished with well equipped kitchen. It was too cold to use the outdoor seating areas in late November, but they would be a real plus in warmer weather. Fidene is on the main train line from Fiumicino. The journey takes about an hour and cost us 8€ each. Heading into Rome is a matter of catching the same line back to Tiburtina (15 mins) and changing to the metro. It's roughly another 15 minutes to the Colosseum. Tickets cost 1.50€ and are valid for 100 minutes. We found that most places were within walking distance, so we didn't bother getting day passes. On arrival we were met at the station (thank you!) which made a nice start to our visit. Also the villa is quite tucked away and would have been difficult to find otherwise! The supermarket near the villa was very convenient, and we ate out at Amatrice, 10 minutes walk and very good. 2 course meal for 3 with wine was around 50€ The seafood risotto comes recommended! All in all a lovely place to stay.

Eine hervorragende Unterkunft!
Das Haus ist wunderbar. Vor allem für eine Familie mit Kindern. Das Haus ist großzügig von der Raumgestaltung her und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Eine große Küche lädt zum Kochen ein. Es war alles sauber. Das Grundstück ist riesig. Tolle fest überdachte Terrasse mit Sitzgelegenheit, die wirklich kühl und Schattenspendend ist. Der Bahnhof Fidene ist nur 5 Minuten weg und man kommt sehr gut ins Zentrum. Ebenso ist ein großer Supermarkt in nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich mit Prosecco und Knabbereien begrüßt und informiert. Ein kleiner Haken ist vielleicht für manche der Verkehrslärm der durch Zug und Autoverkehr verursacht und hörbar ist- uns hat's aber nicht gestört. Jederzeit wieder!

Great location to explore Rome but also have a spacious Appartement and garden to relax
We enjoyed our stay in Villa Simone! It is an easy travel by train and Metro to the city centre which takes about 40 to 60 minutes depending on the site you wish to visit (incl. Walking). The house is located close to the train station which makes it easy to walk there but you will also hear the train and traffic when sitting outside. This did however not disturb us too much. The house is very well equipped and was very clean. There are also a few restaurants in walking distance. We enjoyed the food in Il Bivacco, can recommendate! All in all a great place to stay and explore the wonderful city of Rome!

Super séjour
Nous avons passé un super séjour d’une semaine dans cette charmante et spacieuse maison de plein-pied avec grand jardin et à proximité de toutes commodités (supermarché à 200m, gare à 300m). Nous avions le sentiment d’être en pleine campagne alors que nous étions dans Rome et à 8km de la première station de métro. Merci à Simone pour toutes les informations qu’elle nous a communiquée avant notre arrivée et un grand merci également à Renato qui est très sympathique et qui a su nous accueillir à notre arrivée. Nous reviendrons.

Unforgettable holidays in Rome
The whole family has been delighted with the house. It had 3 spacious rooms, a wonderful garden, green surroundings and 2 bathrooms. In the house everything was fine for us, and it allowed us to relax and rest from the hot summer in Rome and from the visits to the great monuments. It has a train station very close, but in the end we use the ittaxi app to call a taxi to go everywhere. The manager of the house, Pascale, gave us an excellent welcome and she has been attentive to our questions. We would definitely book this house again.

Der perfekte Startpunkt für den Rom-Urlaub
Wir haben unsere Zeit in der Villa Simone sehr genossen. Es ist alles da, was man für eine entspannende Zeit zwischen den Besichtigungen in der Ewigen Stadt braucht. Der Supermarkt ist in 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar, die Haltestelle des viertelstündig fahrenden Vorort-Zuges in 5 Minuten. Mit letzterem ist man schnell im Zentrum bzw. man hat Anschluss zur Metro. Für einen Aufenthalt von einer Woche empfiehlt sich die Wochenkarte (carte settimanale) für 24,- Sie gilt für Metro, Bus, Tram und Zug. Vielen Dank an Pasquale und Rafaele, die immer ansprechbar und hilfsbereit waren. Rundum empfehlenswert!!

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt absolut zu empfehlen *****
Das Haus entspricht in jeder Hinsicht der Präsentation. Wunderschön und idyllisch gelegen, 20 Autominuten vom Parkhaus Villa Borghese und in Gehdistanz zum ÖV. Das Taxi abends vom Stadtzentrum zurück kostet wenig mehr als 20 EUR. Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Gehdistanz sind bestens. Wir wurden von Pascale sehr freundlich empfangen und perfekt in das Haus eingeführt. Die Infrasturktur lässt keine Wünsche offen. Der Garten ist komplett eingezäunt, was für unseren alten Hund ganz toll war. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, Es gibt unzählige Möglichkeiten und Plätze um die Sonne zu geniessen, vom ersten Sonnenstrahl am Morgen beim Kaffee bis zum Apéro beim Sonnenuntergang. Die grosse gedeckte Terrasse ist mit gemütlichen Loungesesseln ausgestattet. Die Zimmer/Badezimmer sind komfortabel und sehr sauber. Die Betten/Wäsche sehr sauber und die Matrazen konfortabel. Wir hätten uns keinen besseren Ort aussuchen können, um von der hektischen Stadt in diese Oase zu entfliehen und wieder Ruhe und Sonne zu tanken. Grazie mille :)
