Comfy and convenient

We actually stayed at the sister accommodation around the corner. Lovely room and plenty of parking, close to shops a cafe and take away’s with the ferry actually in sight.

It was a great place 3 minutes drive from ferry. 2 minutes from pub next door(great food) The staff at the B/B were excellent even offered to take our suitcase upstairs for us. Clean perfect for early sailing

We stopped in Rosslare on our way back to Dublin after 12 days in London and Paris. It was a great quiet place. We ate at the Dock and the Kilrane Inn. Both were excellent. We came via ferry from Wales and left via train to Dublin. The owner gave us a ride to the Europort train stop which was beyond helpful. Only critical comment was my mattress, which seemed worn on one side.

An excellent B&B very close to the Ferry.

We wanted something near to the Ferry port as we were on the early morning crossing: it certainly is, just 2 mins down the road. The B&B has a lovely big car park. We had a very warm welcome from the receptionist who advised us on local restaurants. The room was lovely and big with a bath/shower on-suite. There were toiletries and towels provided as well as extra quilts and pillows if required. There is also TV and Wifi. Overall, we were very comfortable. The only downside for us was the stairs as we are quite elderly and getting our bags upstairs was a bit challenging. The decoration is a little dated but thoroughly clean. I would definitely stay here again but would just use an overnight bag to get over the carrying heavy bag issue. A lovely popular and very friendly B&B and I have no problem with recommending it.

The receptionist left at 9-10 pm and there was no one there overnight , a bit worrying we thought. So no security or a night porter to monitor any situations , is this usual ? People coming in up till 2.20 in the morning so as our room was near the front door , noisy !! It was a Saturday night so perhaps that’s why ?

I got off the last ferry from Spain looking forward to the convenient FerryHouse location...yet the non illuminated roadsign made it difficult to find. Then the after hours self-checkin entrance key box didn't have my assigned room number key set but instead had 3 different room key sets. I unpacked my bag to find & re read my instructions in a notebook at the bottom of my bag, in very poor quality blue lighting outside the entrance... regardless of my assigned key missing I tried all 3 sets of keys to enter the door and none of the keys would fit the conventionally placed original lockset...I struggled i was fustrated, my belongings still scattered about, when a man came from inside the hotel and opened the door for me...he directed my eyes to an unusually placed 2nd operating deadbolt a foot or more above the conventionally placed original lockset and of course the keys fit that upper lockset. Inspite of the LOW lighting levels, eventually I may have seen that new higher lockset and gotten in or given up and found another hotel elsewhere, but after driving past this hotel 3 times before I found a local to give me directions, the 10 pm low light conditions my notes, my assigned key absent, the other room keys available and the need to not use the obvious lockset and instead use an unusually placed new lockset that I hadn't been told about in advance and I didn't expect so far from the original lockset, all caused me great frustration in low level blue lighting ...

Ideal accommodation for the early morning ferry.

We were perfectly happy with Ferryport House, needing somewhere as close as possible to the Fishguard ferry early the next morning. The lady at reception was very pleasant and helpful in telling us where to go for a meal and a drink. Room was clean, tidy and perfectly fine.

Stopover for getting an early ferry.

This is a great place to stopover if you are getting an early ferry from Rosslare port. I guess many people use it for that purpose as residents start moving around and leaving from as early as 4:30 in the morning. The bar or restaurant didn't seem to be open in the evening, but Killrane is only a short walk from the B&B. Parking is easy outside the property and free.

This property has been neglected for too many years and could do with a facelift. The staff were unfriendly and rude. Rooms were clean but the bedding was so old it would have been rejected by the animal charities. The lounge was Locked so we had to hang about in the lobby. The Breakfast was good though.
