This spectaclar pedestrian bridge is suspended 1250 feet above the Arkansas River. Ride the tram across and take the zipline back -- it was my first time ziplining! Finally, a zipline worth your time! We also did the swing, and I have video of me screaming on facebook to prove it's nuuuuts! #adventure #scenic #Colorado
The Royal Gorge Bridge is the highest suspension bridge in America and the second highest in the world. Standing nearly 1,000 feet from the bottom of the gorge, it offers spectacular views of the surrounding area. The wildfires of 2014 destroyed most of the surrounding structures but the bridge survived with only minor damage. Their grand reopening will be in the spring of 2015.

What a wonderful location. Could not have been more relaxing. Accommodations were better than advertised. Staff at the Gorge were very helpful (and the food at the cafe was really good). Recommend going offseason. We had the whole canyon to ourselves, except for the deer we said hi to every morning ...

Nice hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Like most hotels, the breakfast was a bit underwhelming. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will stay again the next time we are in Canon City.
