The home is also on the doorstep of some fantastic family attractions including Robin Hill Country Park. Or take them on the historic Isle of Wight Railway, a short walk from the house. Visitors who love outdoor pursuits will find plenty to do, exploring the extensive network of quiet country roads, footpaths, bridleways and cycle tracks that are assessable from the doorstep. And dog owners can enjoy lovely, circular walks around Firestone Copse which is the forest visible from the property’s terrace.
Upon entering the cottage, guests are greeted by a large open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a cosy area where guests can relax in front of the wood burner after a day of adventure. The dining table folds out to seat all guests comfortably. Heading through to the well-equipped kitchen, there are all the amenities needed to cook delicious meals which can be served in the dining area or outside on the balcony. These include an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher. Coming back through the lounge and into the hallway will provide entrances to both bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom features a king-size bed, radio and ample storage space, whilst the twin room holds two standard single beds, again with ample storage. Directly opposite the twin bedroom is the family bathroom containing a shower over the bath and WC.
This property is blessed with some outstanding outdoor space. Admiring the horses in the paddocks that back onto the long garden and watching the sun sink behind the forest and the towers of Queen Victoria’s Osbourne House is sure to delight all ages. Directly outside the property is the balcony terrace which provides comfortable outdoor seating and a dining table. Heading down the external stairway brings you to an additional wooden seating area with BBQ. Let the chef of choice cook up a storm whilst children burn some energy down on the grassed area below. The driveway contains space for one car.
