Room was spotless, very quirky pub, with friendly staff and a great atmosphere in the bar
The food is really good and its an ideal place to stay and explore the area
Relaxing hotel, we were lucky to have a room with a perfect view of the harbour, cozy and friendly bar. Breakfast was amazing good quality food. Highly recommended!
Very quick and effective check-in. Bedroom was really clean and the beds were comfy. Lovely cooked breakfast and great bar for many evening drinks. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Can't wait to return in 2026 !!
This is a lovely quaint old hotel with heaps of character and friendly staff. It's ideally situated for Bamburgh beach and castle with lots of walks around the Seahouses area.
Great place to stay, lovely little town with shops, pubs, chemist, lots if places to eat and drink. Harbour very close to venue, car park nearby, reasonable prices and ticket transferable. Great place to vase as close to alnick, bamburgh. Holy island.friendly staff, great choice breakfasts, rooms small but everythjng you need, recommended
Wonderful Hotel/pub, one of the best. Lovely room, superb breakfast, excellent staff. Fine range of real ales at the bar in tip top condition. Have stayed here and ate/drank here many times and always a absolute a joy to return..
We enjoyed a very pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and keen to help in every way. The food was excellent and good value for money.
The premises were full of objects of interest and were kept clean and tidy.
Really lovely stay at this traditional inn. Friendly staff, comfortable bed and a fantastic breakfast. Bar area was lovely and cozy and perfect for a winter night in. Great food in the restaurant too. Would highly recommend if staying in the area.
Fabulous views over the harbour.
Bit strange that the bungalow is in the beer garden but it wasn’t noisy and it was quite handy!
Breakfast was fabulous with plenty of choice.
Quaint old world style
Food was excellent and room was very clean
Staff were very friendly
The one downside was that there was no parking but that was the same for all hotels in that area
I could have spent all day looking at the shipping artefacts in this inn
Would definitely return for another stay
Brilliantly different property. maintaining a historic layout and full of artefacts relating to the sea and the fishing local background. Good great, staff brilliant super place to stay.
A lovely place to stay in beautiful surroundings, quaint hotel full of maritime memorabilia with several snug rooms to enjoy a relaxing drink or a delicious meal or fine in the delightful restaurant. Spacious bedrooms with lovely en-suite’s with the usual complimentary items.
From arrival to departure the staff were very good. The restaurant was great with a good choice of food and the portions were big. The choice of real ales was varied 6 on tap and the ones I tried were very well kept. The whole ambiance of the bar was very welcoming and friendly.
We had a an excellent one night stay. We ate in the restaurant in the evening. My husband’s daughter has a severe mustard and nut allergy and the staff were excellent in ensuring she was aware of the dishes that contained these ingredients. The meal in the evening was excellent as was the breakfast. All the staff we came into contact with in the bar, restaurant and reception were friendly and efficient. We would all definitely stay at The Olde Ship Inn again.
Really enjoyed our stay, staff very good, Breakfast very good, the full breakfast was too much for us. Night time meal very nice. Room size and en suite excellent we had the superior room, only downside was the noise from guests in the room above. We didnt know you couldn't park your car in the pub car park unless you have a disabled badge.
I stayed in a single room on the top floor that was perfect for my needs - comfy bed, plenty of outlets, en suite, a window that opened, a small TV, a kettle, a desk. There are stairs and narrow hallways which might prove challenging for some, but the eclectic knick-knacks make it an interesting trip.
The pub is small but has cozy side rooms, the dining area large enough with good breakfast options, and I also got a good pie for dinner one night. The location was perfect for taking a boat excursion or walking the small downtown area, and the (paid) parking area isn't too far away on the other side of the roundabout. (You can briefly stop in front on the inn to unload your luggage upon arrival, though!) The staff was great.
