“Such a lovely B & B. The hosts are so sweet. We had the Peaches & Cream room which was beautifully decorated. There is a full kitchen available to the guests & a French press, whole bean coffee & grinder in the room along with a fridge. Just be aware, if you want breakfast, you need to let the hosts know ahead of time & it’s $20/per person. I will say it was well worth it! The breakfast was delicious!”

“We chose Friendly City as a stopover driving from Boston to Atlanta and could not have been more delighted. “Very pet friendly, which is important to us, given that we have two dogs. Alan Webb, the host, has a cockatoo, which the dogs loved and which we loved also. Good proximity to the Skyline Drive, Charlottesville, and the White Oak Canyon trail in the Shenandoah National Park. “We already plan to go back! We were hoping to get away from it all, and we did! It was so peaceful and quiet. No one around but chickens and deer (and one cat ). The bed was comfortable, and bathroom stocked with nice thick fluffy towels. We were pleasantly surprised to find a container of coffee along with a coffee maker and filters. There is even a mason type jar with sugar and powdered creamer if one uses these in their coffee. It was a learning curve to figure out the convection……
