We only stayed in the area for one night but enjoyed Sylvester Bakery, which had fresh baked goods coming out of the oven. We also enjoyed an elderly couple's mom & pop sushi restaurant not far from the hotel.

Modern Inn felt more like a hotel, than an Inn! Very suburban, but walking distance to McDonald's, Lawson. But we needed to take a taxi for real sushi.

We stayed at the hotel as we went to visit the Shizunami Surf Stadium. Hotel was good but sort of isolated. There was only a McDonalds and a 7 Eleven close by.
