“We stayed the weekend at Bear Bluff retreat to hike nearby state parks and view the waterfalls. It was perfect! The cabin is exactly as pictured. Everything is new and the amenities are well thought out giving you everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is convenient and the view is spectacular! We loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the sunsets and peace each evening and a calm cup of coffee each morning. The star gazing is amazing! I haven’t seen that many stars in years....

“This is by far the best place we have stayed in. We were there Aug. 18-23 Our family, daughter, son in law and 2 grands met us there to celebrate husband/dad's retirement. The accommodations were top notch. The enclosed porch was a favorite spot. And with a beautiful kitchen so well equipped there was no reason to go out to eat. ”

“I can never say enough good things about this place. It is the perfect place to recharge and relax. The lake is great, and the property is perfect for people and their doggos. I look forward to coming back again and again. Julie is a top notch host and very easy to communicate with.”

“To check in you have to go to bottom of hill to the Marina store and no signs to guide you. The cabin has a neighbor on other side of wall(like duplex). All other cabins are stand alone. Did not know that from photo. Had musty, cigarette smell when walked in. No where to sit to eat as microwave is on table. WiFi was terrible and no cell phone service to call out. The bathroom door did not close correctly and handle was on wrong side. No hand towels at bathroom sink to dry hands. No where to...

“First we want to say the property location, cleanliness, comfort and amenities were all first class. The view from the patio is beautiful. The location in proximity to the surrounding waterfalls and - parks is perfect.Now I want to speak about the owners Curt & JoAnn, they are great people and now I will forever call them friend. I had a medical issue while there and I don’t know what my wife would have done without their loving assistance. Great people and place. We will be back”

“This cabin is fantastic. The view of the mountains remind me of the Smokies. Kitchen is stocked with everything you need for cooking. We have stayed at this cabin for at least the last 5 years. It's our home away from home. If you are looking for a large cabin to accommodate a large family or group of friends, book this cabin. ”

“Fantastic location - short walk to the pool or lake, great pool with a slide our kids loved, doors don’t close well for bathroom and back door (we learned to lift up to lock). There is WiFi but it is WEAK. Plan for no WiFi. We rented a pontoon and had an amazing time - no WiFi needed! Just would have been nice to mentally prepare the kids beforehand. Overall, we are ready to plan another trip and stay longer next time!”

“The cabin is in a quiet location, surrounded by farm pastures and a stream. The cabin was enough space for the two of us to enjoy. The kitchen was well furnished with everything we would need to prepare a meal, there’s also a grill for outdoor cooking. There’s a porch on the front or back to enjoy, with seating. The manager of the property was very responsive to our messages. We are definitely adding this to a place to return to.”
