Dont judge the place by its location. Its behind a bunch of fast food places. Parking is beside the building instead of in front of it. I was a little uneasy about that since I was traveling alone. So I parked in the lot crossed from the front door. Once I went in the front door I was met by a very friendly and polite young man who was training with a nice older gentleman. They were very quick and efficient. Once I got my key I asked where my room was and was told on the second(of 3) floor. (This is where the 4 stars comes in.) There is no elevator! This being a hotel and 3 floors, I assumed there would be an elevator. I dont remember there being anything about this little gem of info on the site. I personally have ambulatory issues (bad knee and had just spent all day in the car, stairs were not on my bingo card for that day). Plus carry baggage up and down. When I expressed worry about this, and admitted I probably would have stayed elsewhere had I have known that. The young man apologized profusely and I had to reassure him that was my own fault not his. He then offered to not only help me up the stairs but to also carry my baggage. How sweet and such a gentleman! His Momma should be proud! I declined the extra help but made sure he knew he was a diamond in the rough for offering! Room was simple, clean, and no funky smells. Bed was comfy, pillows were good! I did not partake in breakfast, but the area smell amazing when I passed. I would stay again if I could be 1st floor
