Wine, cheese and crackers every night. A three course breakfast every morning. A 24 hour a day kitchen stocked with complimentary sodas, water, coffee, tea, and ice. Great fireplace in the room. The owner was very accommodating. Even before we got there we received a call from him inviting us to check in early so we could get in before a snowstorm arrived. Great place. Highly recommend it.

This is such a quaint and welcoming inn. The owner is so warm and kind and an excellent cook! The bed we stayed in was very comfortable and the baked cookies she has out in the living room were AMAZING!! The property is very convenient by car to Stockbridge and the Norman Rockwell Museum. We loved our stay at the Federal House Inn.

We had a wonderful stay. Gayle and Michael made us feel like we were the only guests. They truly understand hospitality and their service is genuine. The breakfasts were absolutely incredible. The FHI is the standard by which we will judge other properties.

Gayle and Michael were very friendly! The wine and cheese at 5pm was excellent and the breakfast was amazing! I was even greeted to roses in my room since it was my birthday.

The most INCREDIBLE stay - We will be back!
My husband and I booked two nights for the long weekend in January for my birthday, and it exceeded the already high expectations that we had. Gayle and Michael are so wonderful! The property is so beautiful and comfortable. There are so many little details throughout the property that make it feel like home. The rooms are spacious, and the beds are so comfortable. The amenities are all high end across the entire property. The breakfast is truly some of the best food that I've ever had. Each breakfast is a three course meal, and it's incredibly innovative and delicious. I told Gayle that I needed all of her recipes. This property also does a happy hour with delicious wine (unfortunately, you can't buy the amazing red wine that they serve as it's only available to be sold to restaurants and hotels - as if you needed another reason to stay here) and cheese / other heavenly eats. The happy hour always went longer than the hour because the living area where it takes place is such a comfortable place to hang with the other guests. There are always fresh made cookies and coffee / tea available, and after-dinner chocolates are put out. The living area is such a great place to curl up with a book, which is exactly what we did since it was snowing one of the days that we were there. Gayle and Michael are always willing to give advice on what to do in the area and help with restaurant reservations and other activities. They truly go above and beyond in their service. Thank you!

The friendliest and most accommodating hosts we have ever had. Amazing breakfasts, nice wine and cheese hour at 5:00 PM. There was a beautiful New England feel to the days we just spent there. If you are looking for an easy, quiet and pleasant get away go to the Federal House Inn! FIVE stars.
