“If you are visiting Sheffield you can’t go wrong with a stay at this hotel. So easy into sheffield( we were at the Arena) lovely and clean and new. Fab staff and service and food was great in restaurant.”

“Nice place with helpful nice staff, but no good at all if it is hot. Rooms are not air conditioned so like all English buildings trap and keep heat.”

“On arrival, I was given a sheet of paper to fill in, but it was so badly printed that I could not read it! The room was spacious, with a walk in shower, kettle and tea and coffee. However, the wifi did not work for me, and the TV kept cutting out, but the bed was comfortable. In the morning, there was no water from the taps, so I could not use the lovely looking shower; I had to wash with water from the kettle, from the previous evening. I feel that the staff should have been warning guests……

“Standard of Hotel is high and loved communal Lounge and kitchen but did miss having personal contact as no reception. Had booked a Standard double with a Court yard view to find there was no such view as window had opaque glass also very disappointed to find window sealed so unable to have any fresh air into room so no natural ventilation .A fan is provided but not the same. Would stay again but only if a room with natural ventilation was available. I do believe this should be made clear in……

“While the room was cheap it wasn’t very clean the shower was filthy the windows was filthy the vinyl the soap dispensers was very dirty, had a hand towel with the edges all frailed at the ends no light as you come out the room onto the landing I was left a soft brown banana that was left for the breakfast two days in a row and a slight brown apple . The breakfast sandwich was a cold defrosted bacon and sausage sandwich with the date it was frozen or defrosted on it I can’t remember. I’ve stayed……

“We had such a lovely stay at this wonderful B&B. Comfy bed and the room was well equipped with tea and coffee, biscuits, water etc. We had no trouble parking. Breakfast was first class. ”

“On arrival had a warm welcome from the staff who asked if we wanted drinks we said yes and that we had booked 2 rooms. We were given our drinks and they would bring the room keys to us in a few minutes. Young lady came over and asked if we would like to see the rooms, which I went with the young lady and shown the rooms. I rejoined my friends and told them the rooms were amazing and very clean. We all went to our rooms freshened up, met in bar and all said how well the Cherry Tree Inn is from……

“Room a little tired, bathroom had a number of things needing repair, eg. Toilet roll holder, drainage for bath. Room was also a little hot and AC not very effective… outside temp was 23 degrees or so… so when heatwave hits it will be overly warm in room to get a good night’s sleep. Staff very friendly, and hotel atmosphere was good. Didn’t try food - dinner or breakfast, nor tried gym, so cannot comment on those. Only two working ionity chargers due to people having stolen cables… not fault of……

“Perfectly comfortable stay. Fast check-in and out. Spacious, modern clean rooms. Friendly breakfast staff but food very basic, would skip adding breakfast to your stay. Would recommend and stay again.”

“The rooms are advertised as luxury but in my single room there wasn’t a wardrobe or any coat hangers just a cluster of about three hooks hinged together. The food in the Henry VIII restaurant left a lot to be desired only ate the evening meal there on one occasion out of a 4 night stay, the fish and chips were very fatty and the chips were nearly black. Regards to the breakfast over the 4 mornings the fried eggs were always cremated as was the bacon, on one morning I had a poached egg which……
