"We enjoyed the included breakfast and comfy, clean room. We stayed two nights and this was a great base location to spend a day visiting Skaftfell and Jokulsarlon."

"The property itself was immaculate. Great indoor and outdoor areas and a well equipped kitchen for preparing meals (there are no restaurants around the area). There is also a washer and dryer so you can do laundry.
The only downside are the road conditions to the property; they are rocky and not well paved.
The hotel does not have a proper check in / front desk, so locating the exact building for me to pay for the stay was a bit challenging. "
"Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, quiet, modern, well equipped. The nicest place we stayed in Iceland. Tip: Yes, there is quite a long, unpaved road leading from the main coast road to Stracta. The road is fine, just keep going."
"Stayed in the small cottages which each slept 2 people. They were simple and quiet and clean. Desk staff was great, helpful with laundry completed over night for $30 for a load and we picked it up next morning. Breakfast was included and was good, had decent number of options. Didn’t try dinner at the restaurant. The horses were very nice to visit and get some photos. They like to eat dandelion leaves."
"Magma was beautiful and my favorite hotel I stayed at in Iceland. The view from our room was gorgeous. The room was stylish and comfortable. I wish I was there for a few more nights!"
"We had a great meal and a great stay here. The property is quiet with a nice stream running thru. Excellent meal at the restaurant, and the friendliest, kindest staff you could ever have. Thank you."
"My mother and I stayed here along our road trip through the whole country. We were so thoroughly impressed with how clean, cozy, quiet, and prepared this day was. The kitchenette had everything we could imagine, the bathroom was spacious and nice, and the bets were very comfortable with extra bedding available. If we had the ability, we would have added another night here just to enjoy the property. It’s a beautiful view along a quiet farm and even though there are neighbors, it’s extremely private and cozy. Thank you for such an exceptional stay!"
"An excellent guesthouse! We stayed here on the way back from Jokulsarlon. kirkjubæjarklaustur is only about 10min drive away, with lots of dining options. The room was spacious and clean. We had a room with a private bathroom, which was really convenient. The room stayed really warm, and we couldn't keep the window open wide enough to stay cool during the night...
Breakfast was excellent! "
"While not the flashiest or most "Instagramable" stay of our trip, it was my favorite. Felt really homey, so close to the sweet sheep, very spacious, and the hot tub was incredible. Highly recommend!"
"This stay was a highlight of our trip. When you turn off route 1, you have to drive 5km over a dirt road, through an absolutely beautiful moss covered lava field. As the dirt road nears the cliffs, I recommend that you stop the car and get out to experience the absolute solitude and stark beauty of this location. You are surrounded by untrammeled lava field and cliffs and waterfalls and nothing but a few water birds. You can’t hear or see route 1, nor do you see any guest house. As you turn to the left, you see the beautiful property set against another cliff.
The room was large, modern, warm and clean. The place is newly renovated. The hosts left us some home made waffles for a nice surprise. As dinner was cooking on the outdoor grill, we walked to an amazing private waterfall. The host also pointed out their own private canyon and hill with trails. We could not wait to get up early the next morning to go hiking behind the house to see some amazing views.
This is an experience of a lifetime."
"Vraiment trop cher, la route est péniblement longue, le dortoir est infecte, ca pu, les matelas sont vieux et malpropres, la douche coute 7$ en extra...une grosse anarque!
Expedia ne devrait même pas les avoir sur leur site. C'est une aberration."
