“The AC eventually cooled the room. The room was clean and the facilities were like an older 3- star hotel in the USA. We did not have breakfast and coffee is only available for breakfast patrons before 10am. There is only instant coffee in room. There were no washcloths which I should have expected. This is not somewhere I would want to spend more than a day but if you need a hotel after a super late night flight - it is perfect!!! ”

Overall the stay was enjoyable, but the room looked quite dated and the service had issues at times with delays in orders at the bar and the restaurant. The main pool is nice, the best bit of this hotel, and clearly this is still one of the better hotels in Tahiti. ”

“We had to stay one night in Tahiti to catch the ferry to Moorea the next day. This hotel was walking distance to everything. The ferry, food, bars, and a grocery store to grab snacks and drinks for our stay in Bora Bora. Was a basic room. And very clean with friendly staff. ”

“We booked the family suite, but after seeing it, and after the bad start to our stay, we left. Check in time was identified as 1pm. we arrived at 230, and were told that it wasnt ready. So, we sat for about half an hour. “I was impressed with the Maitai Express. Coming to Tahiti I had stayed in a different airport hotel and was extremely disappointed. I changed my reservations on my return to Tahiti but wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised, it was wonderful. Staff was amazing, cheery & helpful. Room was clean, lovely, soooooo comfy & the a/c worked perfectly. You can't beat the location for ferry to Moorea, cruise ship terminal & airport. “Location was amazing. So peaceful, quiet, and serene. Viewed sunset from deck chairs of our room. Small facility so beach walks not crowded with lots of tourists. Room a little small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious - all so fresh. Secured parking on site. Only suggestion is to make guard gate electronic so aren’t required to get out of car to enter code. ”
