“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Highlander Mountain House .. with a few caveats. First the good: The staff were friendly and helpful, the location is ideal - right in the heart of downtown easily walkable to many shops and restaurants. The room was attractive with soft linens and quality toiletries. However, the room was very small, and as such it didn't feel like the owners utilized the space efficiently. The nightstand space on each side of the bed was decorated with snacks (for purchase),……

“We had a wonderful 3-night stay in room 308. The staff was very accommodating of our late check-in when our flight was delayed. Room 308 is up two flights of narrow stairs which wasn't a problem for us since we didn't have heavy luggage. The room was clean and spacious, and I loved the soaking tub. The bed is higher than normal but they provide a step stool. There was a bit of a musty smell in the room but it was not unusual for being an old house, and it didn't bother me after the first night.……
