A cozy, secluded, gingerbread cottage set on 5 treed acres in Sleeping Rainbow. Four scenic minutes from Torrey -- a sweet, tree-lined village just 11 gorgeous miles from Capitol Reef NP. Every room has a great view, including the bathrooms! Fully equipped kitchen. Dining table seats 8 plus 4 bar stools. Rock BBQ. Sleeps six: two queen, pillow-top, memory-foam beds, and a set of bunk beds. Large-screen TV in the living room. Wifi and internet/smart TV.

Cute place

Property was as listed...clean, comfy, super close to Capitol Reef National Park. Air conditioning kept the house comfortable on hot days. Kitchen was well supplied for our size family.

Cute cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cute desert cottage. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for cooking after long days of hiking. We especially enjoyed the beautiful views from the house and star gazing at night. Mia made sure to check in frequently to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay.

The view!

Charming little cottage conveniently located a short drive from Capitol reef national Park. This cottage is equipped with everything you your friends and family would need for a comfortable clean pleasant stay. The owner is an excellent communicator and reached out multiple times to make sure that we were not only happy with the property, but that we were enjoying our stay.

Relaxing stay

Every thing you need is here. Best equipped kitchen we have experienced. Very quiet location with great views. Proximity to Capitol Reef NP a major draw. And Mia was very helpful.

Perfect for stargazing

Great location, very close to Capitol Reef. Torrey has restaurants, gas station, etc. If the skies are clear at night, it's perfect for star gazing. Communication with owner is the best we've had for a rental.

Great stay

Comfortable, bright, quiet, and spacious, well stocked and supplied. We loved that things are labled! Great base for exploring Capitol Reef NP, Grand Staircase Escalante, and Goblin State Park areas. Beautiful views from property and spectacular starry night sky. A great place to stay while exploring this incredibly beautiful corner of Utah!

Great Stay while Visiting Capitol Reef N.P.

We had a great stay at this lovely home while visiting Capitol Reef National Park. The neighborhood is very quiet and we enjoyed star gazing in this Dark Sky community. The kitchen was big and well stocked, and the living room was very comfortable to relax in after hiking in the Park. We would have liked to have stayed longer!

Quiet w 5 star views.

We loved this charming property - fabulous red rock views out of every window - even the shower. Well stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds w nice linens, exceptionally clean. We slept in the east bedroom and awakened each morning to a jewel-toned sunrise. A lovely home.

A perfect location for a family gathering! Wonderful location for fun in Capitol Reef! Great kitchen, wonderful bedrooms, great space! Easy Drive to Capitol Reef

Mia’s property is a perfect location to explore and hike in Capitol National Park. The house has one of the best equipped kitchens we have ever experienced in a vacation rental. This was a helpful because we enjoy cooking no matter where we are. The beds are very comfortable, the house has good wi-fi, access to many streaming platforms, nice book selection, and great views. We would definitely stay in this house in the future.

Sandcreek Cottage

My family absolutely loved staying at the cottage during our family vacation to Capitol Reef! The house was very clean, very well stocked, and totally charming. The area is beautiful and peaceful. We had plenty of room for the 6 of us and it was nice to relax comfortably during our down time. Mia was attentive and checked on us when the weather took a cold turn. We use a lot of vacation rentals and this has been one of the best experiences we've had. We'd love to stay there again some day!

Comfortable home away from home

A chef's kitchen - particularly well designed and fully equipped. Colorful designer living room. Very spacious dining table with large picture windows. Bathrooms small but adequate. Mia provided good directions and instructions, and responded quickly to our questions. There were 360 degree scenic views of cliffs and mountains, and nights were quiet and dark for sleeping.

Wonderful base for Capitaol Reef

We stayed here for five nights and have nothing but fond memories. It's on the outskirts of Torrey, which is a lovely little town. The property itself has two bedrooms and a very comfortable open-plan downstairs. The kitchen was among the best equipped we have found on numerous VRBO rentals. Everything worked and the Owner was very prompt is passing on any information. Highly recommended.

Great place to come home to after hiking all day!

Comfortable updated home with a cooks' kitchen. When home, we spent most of our waking hours around large kitchen table with incredible views through 2 large picture windows. (Spectacular sunsets & sunrises, resident young jack rabbits that we enjoyed feeding carrots & a small deer herd.) We especially enjoyed experiencing Torrey's International Dark Sky Award in the lawn chairs provided, @ the end of a long day with or without a glass of wine! Very kind, helpful & responsive owners that are nearby if needed. We would enjoy staying here again if in the area.

Great place to stay!

Wonderful home with fabulous views in a peaceful, beautiful location. Very well-equipped kitchen and dining area, and very comfortable living room, where we were able to read, write, watch TV, and hang out while not hiking in Capitol Reef. Mia, via email, and Dyanna, in person, were delightful hosts: very responsive and generous. (Dyanna offered us fresh fruit and greens from her garden, which were delicious, and a commitment to our comfort!) The upstairs rooms are a little funkier than the downstairs ones, where we spent most of our time, but the beds were comfortable, the bathroom well-organized and functional, and all the bedrooms were spacious and inviting. We felt as if we were staying with friends!

One of the most satisfying experiences

Difficult to list all the superlatives: beautiful views, home-like experience, very well stocked kitchen with even sharp knives, lots of games, books, puzzles; great wood burning stove with lots of seasoned logs and kindling, even had yoga mats. Mia was most responsive, typically within minutes. Can’t say enough positives. Close enough to Capitol Reef NP. I forgot a toothbrush and of course the cottage had 2 new ones. I

Cottage with views!

My husband and I spent 2 nights and would have loved to stay longer. We were somewhat apprehensive when we first arrived because the exterior is in need of some TLC, but once we were inside, it felt like home. This cottage is so clean and very well furnished. It’s just filled with those little things that make it feel so much like home—from the plants, candles and cozy lamps in the living room to the colorful spreads on the beds to the lotions and tons of towels folded neatly in the bathrooms. And when we had a power outage our first night, Dianna was quick to respond to help us and Mia even checked on us the next day. And just like the online description, there are views from every window and you will see bunnies frequenting the yard. The house sits on a very large lot so it’s very peaceful and quiet. I just can’t say enough good things about this place, but I think it’s obvious we loved it!

What a wonderful home! Fantastic stay!!

We absolutely loved this home and its location! It was very well equipped, quiet and comfortable. There are lots of books, games and brochures to check out. The home is very close to Capital Reef and walkable to town. We will definitely be back!

Perfect spot, very quiet and private

Mia was fantastic and easy to communicate with, she was such a help. The house is exactly as listed, it worked out great for 2 adult couples. Two similar bedrooms upstairs with the bathroom in between, everyone is equal. The kitchen was stocked with EVERYTHING, living room cozy, and great views out of every window. Out of our four nights, we only had one good for stargazing, but it's PERFECT for it!

Capitol Reef Fall Trip

The Cottage is located in a stunning setting with beautiful views from every window. It’s convenient to restaurants in Torrey and 15 minutes from Capitol Reef. The kitchen had everything you’d need and new appliances. The beds were comfortable. The stars in this area are incredible. It’s a Dark Sky area and we enjoyed stargazing each night. Wonderful trip!

Cozy and comfortable setting for exploring

We loved our stay at the cottage, and will look at rebooking in the future. The house is just as described in the listing; it shows its age in some ways (the bath needs updating, which they know), and is new and refreshed in others (the kitchen and living space are well appointed and comfortable). We especially loved knowing the history of the buildings, and look forward to seeing what the owners do with the property over time. The owner was extremely responsive to any messages we sent, and I believe was sincere in hoping our family (two adults, two tweens) had a great stay -- and we did!

Amazing property in an amazing location

Mia’s cottage was perfect for us for 5 nights home we explored the Capital Reef area. Having come from Moab, this was the best quiet place for the 2nd half of our Utah adventure. After hiking all day, the cottage was perfect. The kitchen was one of the best stocked kitchens we’ve ever stayed in, and we travel A LOT. She’s labeled everything in the house so that you’re not wondering which switch works which light. Many blankets, comfortable bed, clean, stocked, and amazing location just outside Capital Reef in the western little town of Torrey was a big hit for us. Theres a little market close to the house that has everything you may need in a pinch. (We did our big food shopping at Walmart in Price on the way to Moab.) We saw mule deer in the yard morning. We went south to Escalante to hike and the drive over Boulder Mtn was amazing and easy to get to from her cottage. Would def stay again.
