Have had to stay in hotels in Huntsville for the last month or so and so in comparison and for the price I’d say this hotel was less than desirable. There are several hotels that are $20-$40 dollars cheaper per night that are cleaner, more functional and in a better location than this hotel. It wasn’t horrible by any means but had to deal with the random bug somehow getting into the room on two nights, some very dated ff&e, lack of cleanliness in common area and lapses in maintenance which are very noticeable. If you’re in a pinch and this is all that is available you’ll be okay, safe and get a good nights sleep but probably wouldn’t book again if availability elsewhere or would pay $20-$40 more for a better upgrade somewhere else. Staff was helpful but didn’t see me come in so kind of had to wait until they talked amongst themselves before you got help. I’d say it’s more standard for a lesser hotel in a lesser city and didn’t really give me the warm and fuzzies on the chain or Huntsville in that area especially since I normally like Sonesta. Overall there are worse hotels in the world but for this area of Huntsville it felt pretty stark in contrast to StayApt and Woodsprings, both budget accommodations for less.
