"This is the second time I stayed at this property in Lamoni, Iowa. A lot to stop and stay here when I'm heading to my son's in Minnesota. The rooms are always fantastic, the staff is super friendly and very accommodating, and a location is super excellent. If you're a woman traveling by yourself, this is a place to stay the night at. There's an Amish country store and a I think it's called Maid-Rite fast food place in the same building. The food there is pretty good. The pare it down in a few words, it's safe, clean, and always a pleasure to stay at."

"This was a great place to stay for one night on the way from Missouri to Wisconsin. NOTE: the hotel building is 2 stories, but no elevator. Request room on 1st floor if handicapped. Large pool with mildly chlorinated water (my son gets itchy in pools quickly, but not this one), under a broad chalet-style roof. Highly recommend! "

"I love staying here everytime I visit the area. The ownwers are extremely flexible with late checkins and early wakeups! They always leave a wonderful breakfast sandwhich when I cannot make it for their amazing breakfasts! I look forward to my next stay!"

"Feels like a boutique hotel. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Easy access from the highway but no highway noise. No dining options nearby and there's not much in Chariton overall. Especially liked the huge Roku TV and high water pressure. My wife and I didn't care for the taste of the local tap water but luckily we found the filtered water dispenser near the breakfast area. A couple of quirks - you're given a code you have to enter to unlock your room. This took some getting used to and could be difficult for seniors and visually impaired. Maybe offer RFID where you just hold a card to the lock? Also, we discovered that if you don't shut the door completely, it beeps occasionally. Finally, the front desk staffing is interesting as it was empty when we checked in on a Friday afternoon. There was a sign to call the hotel number and our employee was upstairs vacuuming but came down to check us in right away. Also, the front desk isn't staffed after 9pm. I ended up getting "locked out" as I couldn't understand how to use my room door code to unlock the front door. I called the staff number and still couldn't figure it out. Fortunately, another guest was in the lobby, and I showed her my key "card" and she let me in and told me how to unlock the front door. The game room and outdoor fire pit and pickleball court looked nice, although we didn't use them. I would stay there again!"

"For the price point it was perfect, came up for race weekend. Had hot water(i love hot showers) room was clean, staff we did encounter was friendly and parking was great. If we have a need to be back that way will def stay again."
