“It is a very quaint cottage with wrap round garden which was perfect for dogs, Caretaker was very friendly. Would happily stay again. .”

“Enjoyable stay”

“Very quiet”

“The hotel is in a great location. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. Staff service could have been improved at check in and check out”

“Lovely old inn with well appointed clean rooms. Had evening meal which was excellent. Breakfast was also well cooked and delicious. It had a lovely ambience.”

“We booked through Expedia who then passed the wrong dates onto the accommodation.”

“A great place to stay, especially when the sun is shining! Very comfortable room and a lovely breakfast.”

“Room not big enough for : suitcases What floor space there was was taken by a free standing AC unit the size of a small bar refrigerator which roared like a 747 picking clothes for the day involved houdini like manoeuvres!”

“Amazing location and charming spot. The room was very comfortable and the restaurant was excellent. The pub and wonderful outdoor area attracted many locals and travellers. The walks to and from Birling Gap were stunning. What a spot!!”

“Great stay here - we arrived around 20:00 on a horrible stormy Saturday and were greeted and checked in cheerfully and quickly. Room was small but had everything we needed. We had dinner in the pub and that was a genuinely lovely, I'd go back here again just for a meal. Portions were generous and the food was delicious. There's a few games and things in the bar, and they came in very handy when there was a brief power cut (it was Boelo, it was very windy). Emma quickly handed out candles for……

“My son loved that there was Disney plus as a bonus. However our shower didn't work and I had to ask to use the one next door. 3x a member of staff came to try it, the last time we were in bed and no it still wasn't working. No compensation of any kind was offered, not even a free dessert after we had paid for dinner. Bathroom was a bit grubby and there was just a piece of foam under the sheet and no mattress protector. Breakfast was OK but no offer of fruit, cereal or juice. Had to ask for a……

“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this property nothing was too much trouble for Fiona and James and I have booked again for next year. The room was on the ground floor with a good shower, drinks and biscuits and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was exceptional and I can't wait to return.”

“Philip and his wife Nikki have a wonderful Hotel and are lovely people! Our room was tidy, comfortable, quiet, and had small touches like complimentary tea and cookies that were so appreciated and enjoyed by us. I had the best sleeps I had on our entire 2-week stay while here, so much so that I missed breakfast unfortunately--(my fiancé made it though and said the food was delicious also). If we are ever in the area again, we will be back. Thank you for the fantastic experience!”

“Amazing place highly recommended, food and restaurant staff just great….. we have enjoyed sauna and morning Yoga was perfect to finish it off our stay.”
