“The room was spotless, and the staff were very responsive. Check-in and check-out were smooth. However, the view out of the window was depressing: old, abandoned, multi-storied government quarters. I realize that the hotel cannot do anything about it. Our room keys often failed, and they needed to be rekeyed. This was for multiple rooms that our family used. “The hotel was wonderful. I was a solo traveler and felt very safe here. The concierge Amit seemed to be looking out for me. He was very helpful in everyway. I was able to walk to India Museum from this hotel as well as Saint John's Church for the Black hole of Kolkata memorial. The breakfast in the morning was very nice, although the staff did seem to have a hard time keeping everything fully stocked. I would definitely stay again.”
