Fantastic Stay!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jimmy and Jenine’s home. The hosts were very kind and helpful throughout our stay. The home was impeccably clean and had everything we needed. The home is cozy and beautifully decorated. It is located perfectly between West Jefferson and Boone. We hope to stay here again when we visit the area in the future.

It was nicely furnished and equipped with little extras which was very convenient. Very clean and private. Nice views. It's a little remote but only a 15 minutes drive to WJ.

Wonderful
The home had everything we needed. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Loved sitting on porches and listening to nature. Close to Blowing Rock and if you haven’t been to West Jefferson, it is a must! Ashe County Cheese has some great cheeses plus jams and jellies. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect Mountain Stay!
We needed a relaxing getaway and this was absolutely perfect! The hosts are amazing and have thought of everything that you may need! This is the most well stocked VRBO property that we have ever stayed in! The house is spotless. Listening to the stream on the front porch is so relaxing. Easy drive to West Jefferson and Boone. We will definitely be back!!

Hosts have thought of EVERYTHING!
The main focus of my trip was to escape the unrelenting heat of home. The temps were consistently 20° below home. And the constant breeze made it even sweeter. But the best part of my trip is that my hosts were the absolute best in my years of vacation homes. They have thought of EVERYTHING! The motion activated nightlight in the bathroom. The power strip in the basket with a blanket by the sofa. The bottles of water and bags of coffee in the fridge. The directions to everything everywhere. They are the absolutely most thoughtful and deliberate hosts. Only slept in the primary room, but it was amazingly comfy. I spent a lot of time on the deck. The deck furniture is great (too many STVR just put uncomfortable plastic furniture out—not here, it’s perfect) Kitchen is very well stocked. I lacked for nothing. As a single female, the location was private, but not remote. Quiet, but safe. One of my best ever stays. 💕

This home is immaculately taken care of. The grounds are beautiful, and the decor is well done. The owner Jimmy and Jenine are very special and caring people. They are always concerned that you have everything you need. Everything is absolutely amazing.

Peaceful, remote location. Well appointed. Great living room furniture. Ate all meals on porch table that included a couch, several sets of chaired and a swing. Fantastic beds. Thick, firm mattresses. Loved them - slept like a log.. kitchen well stocked. Only missing item was a gas. Grill. Although a charcoal unit was available. Enjoyed our stay.

We attended a wedding at The Barn on New River. Venue owner told us that there are virtually no mosquitos around the New River. Great place for all outdoor activities. Loved it.

Wonderful mountain getaway
I came to the area for my birthday with my son and partner. My maternal grandmother was born in West Jefferson and I wanted to explore. This cabin was perfect. It was about 15 or 20 minutes to town but the drive was beautiful. The cabin is nicely furnished and very comfortable. I loved sitting on the deck. We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful area.

Mountain trip was break from the heat.
Great location for us since we went to West Jefferson and Boone. Could hear the babbling brook out front. The size is great for a couple to get away for a little break and relax or go exploring in adjacent mountain areas. We will go back!!!!

They have a lot of kitchen supplies which are missing in a lot of VRBO listings (kettles, basic spices, al foil, bowls, etc.) The owners are very responsive to any questions you may have and also offer great suggestions for sites in the area. Wonderful Family Getaway!!
Loved this property it was the perfect vacation for my family of three. The property had everything we needed for the week. It was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and listening to the creek and the birds. The hosts were fantastic and super helpful. Great location and only a couple minutes from the Blue Ridge. We were also close enough to enjoy Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Grayson Highlands and Damascus during our stay. I would definitely recommend this property!!

This was my second visit. Love this place. Very well stocked with everything you need plus more. My favorite place is the deck where we spend most of our time. The sound of the creek is so peaceful. Walked down to the river everyday. Definitely the place to go to relax and unwind. So peaceful. Will be back.

This is a lovely, cozy retreat. Very clean and comfortable. Nice touches throughout. Owner thought of everything you may possibly need. Babbling brook below and beautiful peaceful mountain views. Day trips to several spots including Boone, Blowing Rock, West Jefferson and Banner Elk. Highly recommend. Will book again.

Great place to relax
We went for our grandson’s graduation from Appalachian State and really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was very clean and looked brand new. Host were great. Enjoyed the town of West Jefferson as well. And the house has a great porch with lots of furniture to relax on.
