It absolutely pains me to leave a negative review, but I hope this helps other travelers. We chose this hotel because we needed a place to stay while we were doing an overnight ghost hunt at the asylum. We got in late on Friday night and our plan was to sleep in on Saturday so we would be ready for Saturday night.
Sleeping in wasn’t happening here. At 8 am, staff were loudly cleaning in the hallways. I did poke my head out and ask that they be a little quieter and explained that we had a late night. He said he would but seemed to ramp up the sound. I should add that the doors and walls are thin so you hear everything-road noise, other travelers, etc.
Everything about the hotel is old. We were expecting an older building because of the name, but the beds are shaky and not built for two adults, so if you are traveling with more than one person you’re going to need 2 rooms. The shower sounded like a jet engine taking off and the spigot in the bathtub was hanging on by several layers of caulk. There was also dried urine under our toilet.
This hotel was affordable, so it has that going for it, but next time we will choose another option.
