“This is a lovely property and there were only minor issues with cleanliness such as dead bugs and spider webs throughout the rental which leads me to believe it is not thoroughly cleaned regularly. My major concern was that the listing stated that the owners who live in the house above stay at one of their other properties when the downstairs apartment is booked. Not only were the owners onsite and present throughout our stay, they were using the amenities such as the pool and they also invited……

“I travelled with my mother to hike the Falls Trail at Rickett’s Glen, and we wanted to be comfortable in our downtime. This place was perfect. It’s just a few minutes to the park itself, and the parking lot at the bottom of the trail is right down the road. There is a 90% chance you’ll miss the driveway the first time, even if you read a review warning you the driveway is easy to miss, lol. This is not a complaint! Even though the cabin is close to the road, it’s completely tucked away and……

“The River House is a beautiful property. It is a gorgeous log home with the Susquehanna River as the backyard. The home was very clean and comfortable. The entire property is calm and relaxing. My husband was able to fish right on the river bank which was one of the main reasons for this trip. We also enjoyed the hot tub. We would definitely return for a stay in the fall. Thank you!”

“We stayed over Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful time. The pictures really don’t do this cabin justice. We felt at home immediately and were grateful for all the amenities that the home offered. Mary, our host, reached out via email regularly to check in and make sure we were enjoying our stay. We loved being able to sit on the porch and listen to the creek while drinking coffee, walk across to the water to fish or to just lay in the sun. Our dog, River, loved swimming in the creek too.……

“This historic VRBO was updated and yet held onto its historic charm with exposed brick, beams and decor. The beds were comfortable, the towels were fluffy and the kitchen was well appointed. The cappuccino keurig machine was awesome and my kids appreciated the variety of snacks and hot teas left by the hosts. “Stayed with family to celebrate birthday. The house and property were beautiful, clean. quiet and peaceful. Sitting on the porch and seeing wildlife was an added bonus. And the big soaker bathtub - wonderful! We would definitely love to return! And the short drive to Knoebels was great!”

“Rooms are only serviced every other day, so we had to request toilet paper and coffee/coffee cups. Breakfast selection was pretty good, though replenishing took a fair amount of time. Desk staff was very helpful and pleasant. Pillows left a lot to be desired, as I'm used to having more of a variety to choose from. Hotel is central to many nice restaurants and interesting sights.”
