Large modern villa with ranch sliders from all living areas to access wrap around verandah and beautiful established gardens and lawns. Enjoy the amazing sunsets and night sky gazing. Nearby Woodend beach is great for swimming in summer and the woodland beach reserve trail can be walked or biked from Woodend all the way through Pegasus to Waikuku. The home's quiet rural setting with established trees and gardens, contains an abundance of natives and introduced species including mature Rhododendrons, Camelias, Pin oaks, Maples, Dogwoods, flowering Cherries, Roses and Hydrangeas, and provides a haven for native birds. Listen for the tui , fantail , quail and pheasant's call. With a rural outlook on all sides , but 5 minutes from the main highway and just 5 - 10 minutes from Kaiapoi, Woodend and Rangiora townships. The best of both worlds!

Lovely clean and spacious home

It was lovely to stay in this beautiful home. Margaret put flowers in vases before we arrived and we could literally "stop and smell the roses". The house was big enough for me to have a break from my husband snoring - I could sleeping downstairs! Best sleep i have had in years.

Rural Retreat

This property was like staying in someone's home. There were personal touches ie fresh flowers in vases. Lots of spaces around the wrap around deck to sit either peacefully alone or joining the group.A walk around the grounds told a story of a once loved garden that still held good bones and structure.

Great location, you feel well away from everyting, but you are only 10mins from Rangiora. So much space in the house, great layout, everything you need. Awesome place to sray.

Family get together

The place was perfect for our extended family who had gathered for a funeral. Gorgeous fire & plenty of space & bathrooms for everyone. Short drive to Woodend Beach which we loved too. Definitely recommend.

Rural retreat

A lovely well appointed house. Lots of space to relax in, comfortable beds, lovely log fire, more than sufficient bathrooms. We found it a great place for a group of friends to get together to catch up, watch movies and enjoy great food. Near the beach but some of us also enjoyed the second hand shopping in Rangiora. Very close to Christchurch. So lots to do if you don't just want to relax. A pleasant rural outlook.

Excellent A couple of things. Maybe provide face cloths. Maybe renew the stove guidelines and also the dishwasher was slightly confusing as flashed between 2 hours and 50 minutes but seemed to take 50 minutes.

Our wonderful house stay

Our party consisted of 5 adults. Check in was organized and quick through email. Entering the property we were all amazed with the accommodation. 2 bedrooms had on-suits( 1 upstairs, 1 downstairs with the other bathroom for 2 other rooms. 1 spare toilet downstairs. This property would be one I'd happily stay in again and live permanently in. We all loved the covered in veranda, having tea and breakfast their each day.. The fire heated the whole house.. please take the time to enjoy this wonderful house.

Beautiful & Peaceful Home

Our family had a wonderful week stay at this beautiful farm house. The home had all we needed and was very clean. The host made sure we had everything we needed and was especially kind. One of our favorite things was making a nightly fire and daily visits to the horse that also lives on the property. We would highly recommend this property.
