9/10 Wonderful! (3,176 reviews)
The property is very nice and well maintained and the pools are also very nice. The beach is ok but looks like they excavated a rocky area out. The staff unfortunately is not very helpful or friendly. There are a few who are but overall not that great. We had to ask for towels twice as the house keeping service did not leave them and they never refilled our shampoo or conditioner once in 5 days. The property is big so be prepared to walk as rooms can be far from the main pool and restaurants.... there are 5 eating options we went to the steak house and it was alright, service again could have been way better. Coffee shop has good coffee but items in market for sale are pricey so be sure to bring sun block and toiletries. Rooms are clean and spacious but are a bit damp and humid even with AC on. Hotel is a bit far from restaurants but if you have a car I would reccomend Bacao & Fogon and The Hitching Post. Both are in the mountains and very beautiful with good service and food

Power went out for 4 hours island wide. Staff did not know what to do. 2 hungry kids and I could not pay for even a bag of chips as system was down. Donot understand why charging $200 for incidentals. After about 3 hours there was a staff member that pointed out that there was a ballroom that was offering hot dogs and chicken fingers. Again no other staff member mentioned it. If tou have to stay at this hotel, pack some snacks.
