New Orleans (MSY) to Seattle (SEA)
9.2/10 Wonderful! (1,280 reviews)
It is a beautiful hotel. Lovely decor (better than the norm), great bathroom and soaps, etc., good water pressure, fast running drains, and very hot water (yay!). But there was 1 significant, dealbreaker problem. I was traveling with my children so we got a family room, as we always do. I thought I’d seen every dodgy sofa bed a hotel could offer, but this one was the worst I’ve ever seen — literally so broken and battered we felt it was unsafe. I called the front desk and they said they were not allowed to put a rollaway in a family room (why, if the sofa bed is broken?), but would send up some duvets. So we pulled the worn-out mattress off of the sofa bed and put it on the floor. It was seriously bad and thin — maybe 2 inches thick at best and very lumpy — and put the 2 flattened, thin duvets on top. Still terrible. My kids didn’t sleep well and were in pain by morning. Also, when the room is booked and rated for 4 people, there should automatically be enough towels for 4 people, but there wasn’t. Great for 2 people, but not acceptable for a family.

Staff were terrific. The hotel was typical of the brand, nice but expensive for the room and obligatory up charge for the unused fitness center. One thing would be appreciated…. Ensuring access to the rooftop bar for hotel guests.

VERY dog friendly - best dog hotel in Seattle no doubt. Don't let the adjacent big grass area next door fool you though - as an armed guard will tell you, dogs are not permitted on federal property. Room was nice, no coffee machine though. Bathroom could do with an update. Parking is on-site but $60/day. Good location for downtown, we walked to the stadium for the game, and Pike Place market. Usual Seattle caveats apply re: the homeless who loiter in their drug addled states.

First off, our room smelled like a barn. A literal barn. On top of that, we were put in the room by the alley way and heard the garbage dumpsters being unloaded all throughout the night. I’m not sure why dumpsters are being unloaded at 2am while guests are trying to sleep. Also, whoever was staying above us was walking around in heels all night, clickitting and clackitting away. We didn’t sleep a wink.
We complained to the front desk and have yet to hear back from management after we were told we would be contacted.
Would not recommend this hotel .

Nice hotel in a convenient location for tourist stuff. I recommend getting a room on an upper floor -- there is some street noise
