Weekend getaways in Rodanthe

The hotel was perfect and spacious. The only thing was when it rained 🌧 🙃 we got wet to the entrance to our room because of the location...maybe adding a overhang to help with not getting wet.

Convenient location, great beach access, and extremely friendly staff. The biscuits and gravy served with the complimentary breakfast were delicious! Truly enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I stayed for 3 days for our wedding anniversary. We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was perfect and housekeeping did a wonderful job keeping it clean for us. The property was well maintained. The breakfast was delicious.The oceanfront view was amazing! For us, it was a 5 star experience.

We like the Kill Devi Hills area, and closeness to beach w/good access.

Nice and quiet place. Good breakfast options. Only thing to improve, but it was not a letdown, the blanket on the bed seemed not to be warm enough, but it was ok. I am sure this would have been dealt with, had I asked for an extra blanket.

This is a great little beach hotel at a resonable price. No, it's not a Hilton but I would rather stay at this hotel. The room I had was two queens with a small kitchenette. The room was very clean and decent size. I would deffinetly stay here again.

It was the best time I’ve had in a long time!! Very nice place to stay. So close to the beach ,almost on the sand (we enjoyed the Sand Spur experience !!!! Loved it 👍

Beautiful bed and breakfast right across the street from the beach! Amazing family owned business with great services and friendliness. Breakfast was delicious 😋 . Coffee, tea, water, and ice available at all times! Beach chairs , towels, and umbrella available as well. Would visit again!

This is a very sweet historic bed and breakfast. The house is cozy and they were very accommodating. As you can imagine for an old home, everything is not fully updated, but it was very comfortable and clean. The walls are thin so you can hear movement of other guests a little. Breakfast was very nice, and they have lovely sittings areas inside and outside.

I can sum up my review of the Dolphin Oceanfront Motel in this way: If you're expecting to be pampered with physical luxury, you'll want to avoid this; if you like simplicity and don't mind some rough edges, then this is for you. It's kind of like the dive bar of beach motels in that it's a bit dated and worn, but makes up for its lack of gleam with loads of character. I personally love a good dive bar. I think it would be very easy for people to criticize this place, especially for the kind of...
