Learn more about Albany

Nestled in the foothills of the Appalachians, this charming town offers peaceful fishing and boating on Dale Hollow Lake. Visitors can explore the historic courthouse square before heading to nearby Wolf River for spectacular cave tours and hiking trails.

The Cumberland Gap area is an absolutely Beautiful area. It is rolling hills mixed with horse farms. It is the foothills of the Smokies. the roads go along some of the old trails laid out. Driving past Lake Cumberland gives you the feel of deep wood in the Smokies, and still be on the foothills. There is old growth everywhere. I have not been here in the fall, but if you want to see the Smokies during the height of fall color, I would highly recommend this area, I am going to come back in october. With all of the old growth in the area, the hills and fields, and the roads I can not see how this would be anything one of the best ways to see the color and culture of the Smokies.
