Of the 3 budget hotels we stayed at in Anchorage, Merrill Field Inn was by far the cleanest, best maintained and had the best amenities. They even have a free shuttle to both airports and hot/cold breakfast. The staff was helpful too. Would be happy to stay there again.

The airport shuttle ke came right on time. The next day he dropped me off at a downtown destination. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Not fancy but perfect for a 1 night stay. The staff were helpful and friendly. I recommend a stay.

Merrill Field inn was a lovely stay. The property is a bit old but very well maintained and very clean. The room was spotless and bed was comfortable. Definitely recommend if you are looking for quality over luxury. Shuttle service was very nice and staff were accommodating and helpful!

What a great place! No chandeliers? OK. Locally owned and operated? YUP and they care. We had drop off and pickup for airport and everywhere we wanted to be. Not expensive. Clean! Really clean and big room. Unless you LIKE chandeliers, this is a fine choice.

We needed a place to spend one night that wasn't over $300 during tourist season so this was great. They had comfortable beds and a great breakfast with scambled eggs, hashbrowns & sausage. They also had toast & cold cereal & milk as an option. It is an older motel but met our needs nicely.

The room smelled a little smoky, but I think there was no smoking allowed so that was just probably older odors. Other than that a wonderful place to stay, great breakfast in the morning and super friendly staff. We got a ride to the airport from a very friendly man. We would stay there again.

Anthony the shuttle driver was kind and helpful. Our room was clean but the sink was old cracked and stained. The carpet was old and dingy. The breakfast was not appealing and didn't offer decaf.
