“This our second year at Cape Guinevere, and once again we had a wonderful stay. The house is cozy and well equipped, and really just perfect for our family to gather for meals, walks around Lancelot Shores, and of course for fires around the fire pit. It is close to Rochester and stores but we felt like we had our own private getaway in the woods. We’d go back again in a heartbeat!”

“The property is affordable and very clean. The owner and his family were warm and accommodating. The location was perfect for my teen children — they loved the kayaks, the small swimming area, and the location. They could walk to town for ice cream and have a little independence. “We enjoyed this cottage for a fall vacation weekend. It’s a nice two bedroom that easily fit my family of 5. The kitchen was well stocked and we took full advantage of the warm weather for some grilling. There is a pretty view of the lake from the house and a small marsh. It was a short walk down a wooded path to the private waterfront area with a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and a large dock. We sat out on the dock and enjoyed the fall colors around the lake. “I truly enjoyed my stay here. The house is clean, bright and full of amenities (they even have a record player and lots of records). Check in and check out was simple. The whole setup is open and inviting. Even though there were neighbors on both sides, it was secluded enough for us to enjoy some rest and relaxation. “We drove up north to the Flume Gorge, Littleton, and the Kanc highway. Then we drove south to Concord/Lexington, MA to do the Minuteman trail. We also drove east into Vermont. We picked apples, did the rail rider and collected many colorful leaves. The house was centrally located and was a very comfortable place to come ‘home’ to every evening. We really enjoyed our stay and would come again!”

“We were able to house, feed and entertain 11 family members. There is excellent internet service. There are a collection of games and puzzles for indoor activities for young and old. There are outdoor yard games and then the waterfront on Great East lake: Swim, canoe, row boat, sail boat and float tubes. Rope swing near bye. Great firepit for night time: smores or just relax and watch the fire!”

“The house was as pictured a family cottage by the lake. The owner was nearby and was friendly and my children had a fantastic time swimming, kayaking, and fishing. It was a nice relaxing family vacation. Would recommend the house to offers who want to just get away, relax, and unwind.”

“We stayed here with 9 people over a weekend, and the place was amazing. My best friend is getting married soon and we decided on this listing, and honestly everything about it was awesome. Plenty of games to play, a huge TV upstairs that we used to watch the UFC fight. Everything was clean and the hosts were more than accommodating and nice. The view is amazing in the morning. Definitely recommend this place if you are hesitating, it was a great weekend that I don't think we'll forget.”

It s two bedrooms, two baths was the perfect size for us . We were able to have meals and cook or go out to each. in a wonderful fireplace. Beautiful views. Everything we needed was close . “The location is, as advertised, right on Locke Lake which is a quiet community. House was clean when we arrived. Fresh linens were also provided. Comfortable beds! The house has only one shower. Great stay!”
