"I stayed here with my son while riding the Katy Trail. The property is literally steps away from the McKittrick Trailhead making it very convenient for an early start the next day. Since my son was my "support vehicle driver", we easily drove into Hermann for meals and to explore the town. The room was more of a spacious one-bedroom apartment rather than a hotel room. It had a full kitchen stocked with some food and drinks and a washer and dryer (stocked with detergent and fabric softener!) which was very convenient. Communication with the proprietors was all through text messages and emails but often and detailed enough that we checked into the room with no problem. The only drawback was that the mattress on one of the beds in our room was a little saggy and needed to be replaced. Was tired enough from the trail that I still had a good night's sleep. Would definitely stay here again next time through. "
