All of the staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful. We ate at the pub and the food was good sized portions and of a good quality. The breakfast was particularly good! The room was quirky and of a good size. Overall, we would highly recommend staying at the Hoops Inn.

Comfortable and clean . Friendly staff especially Becky and Liv.Evening meal superb ,apparently chef Dave on duty when we stayed. It would have been better if staff knew what soup of the day was before taking orders ,a small detail but probably more professional. About 9 stairs up to the room ,staff did offer to help with suitcases .Car park is up a small hill but there is a drop off area to unload your suitcases to avoid having to walk down with them. Would return if only for the food.

We have stayed here a few times about 9 years ago when we had reasons to be in north Devon. We were pleased to have had another opportunity last week. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a first rate bathroom. We had a very enjoyable dinner, some lovely wine and a splendid breakfast. All the staff were friendly and helpful and we really hope to be able to visit again sometime. Thank you!

A gem of a find, a quite location,large car park,friendly staff,dog friendly with a large field off the car park, a great inn with a large beer garden, A great selection of beers & the food taken in the bar or garden was very good. After a power cut in the early morning ( no fault of their own) power back on at 9.15am they managed to provide a full English before we checked out. We would make a point of returning again.
