"Our second Christmas at this cabin! We brought our tree, lights, presents, and enough food to last us several days. Because there was no snow and we found slushy ice on Gegoka, we drove to nearby hiking trails—all lovely. The kitchen is well-provisioned with spices, herbs, pots and pans and the bookshelves are loaded with terrific wildlife resource books. This cabin has one of the best wood stoves we’ve experienced. Despite gloomy, rainy days, we had a good stay!"

It was very close to Sax Zim Bog, and it was close to the gas station and Wilbert Cafe in town. "We had a wonderful stay at this relaxing retreat! We loved the lake view and all the amenities (paddle boards, comic book collection, sauna, gas grill, spacious kitchen, and large farm table for gathering to playing cards). Being a group that loves to cook together in the kitchen, the selection of kettles was a tad limited and a few 3 - 4 qt pots would be nice :). We would definitely recommend this place to others who might enjoy a quite scenic lake stay in Northern MN."

"What a beautiful space for a fall getaway. The cabin is spacious and clean - even better than it looks in the pictures. Plenty of comfortable furniture, open spaces made even more so by the numerous windows, and comfortable beds. There's no TV (in my mind, that's a bonus), but the wi-fi worked great and there are plenty of books and board games available. "Not sure where to start, Cold with no heat You plugged anything in and you will blow a hard to find fuse that we had to go back to Duluth to find, water was un drinkable found out the hard way, the bath house was un heated aswell and the hot water lasted for about 2 minutes. Needless to say it was for the most part Unhabitable!"
