"Winterstoke is a HUGE house with 4 massive double bedrooms and a large twin room. This does not feel like a holiday rental, it feels like a home. I have never stayed in a property that is so well appointed, every detail is covered. The quality of the house is really fantastic and incredibly comfortable. The back garden is lovely with a great area for entertaining, unfortunately it was freezing so we could not make use of it. We had a baby with us and the owner (sheila) had EVERYTHING...

The upstairs bedrooms are bright and large. The bedroom with the en-suite is small but cosy. The en-suite is more of a wet room but that was fine for a couple of days. It’s about a 15 minute walk into the centre of Margate which we found totally reasonable. "

"We like the convenience of the hotel and the beds and rooms are nicely clean and the cleaning staff very friendly and helpful. However the reception staff are not that friendly and will ignore you unless you speak directly to them. I am unused to that in a hotel reception. It would be good if they were more welcoming and proactively pleasant. And although the breakfast is included it is just cereal and breads. The full breakfast is a bit of a disappointment and I recommend going elsewhere."
